I have to ask. What new experiences can I have in Halo infinite?

As of right now it’s possible to make every single map that’s in halo infinite in halo 5 forge. You can also remove the abilites to make it play just like infinite. You could even use the Halo 2 BR. Only difference would be pickups.

Halo 5 had breakout and warzone. I had a blast in each of those modes. Some may have not liked either of those but it was a different type of gameplay offering. In halo infinite. There is nothing really new. Nothing different. Only thing I really see is a bigger btb and dedicated maps(which is nice this time around).

Other than the pickups I’m struggling to find anything about this game that I can’t already enjoy in another Halo and in some cases better.

Wether you liked the Halo 5 abilities or not it allowed for some really cool custom game options. You could change how the stabilizer would work or how long the ground pound took to charge or how fast the thrust was. I would spend hours just fiddling with the different options. Some really cool game modes came out of stuff like that. Now it’s just bare. Barely anything other than then a fast Sprint and fast movement speeds.

Everything about this game just feels super bare and all the announcements that everything will be released over time like basic game modes, FFA ,slayer etc. Doesn’t help either.

So I have to ask what new experiences can I have in Halo infinite? Because honestly I’m bored. There truly isn’t any new experience.

You could have new experiences in MCC. Reach, 4, and 2A have gametype scripting that allows players to make brand new gametypes. It’s mostly Reach that’s cracked open right now.

I agree with you about Infinite. I like the gameplay and it does a lot of things well but it’s got an extremely narrow focus right now. I don’t expect to really seriously consider it until Forge releases. And even then I’ve got to be prepared for the possibility that it’s not good enough.

You get to experience corporate greed at its absolute top tier finest. You get to experience modern gaming where you yourself are irrelevant but what’s in your pocket or wallet is truely the only value. Congratulations…

You can always have a look at your afk teammates as you’re losing a game of stockpile to a single player with a Repulsor…

On a serious note. The new experiences you are looking for are not here yet and will be released by every season so that season 10 still feels like it adds new content. Like halo 5 it will probably mean watered down classics and remakes for 2 years until you have no one left to play with.

The toxic community of free F2P kids who threaten the devs when they can’t manage a weekly challenge on day one.

Nobody plays the objective anymore. You get no real customization outside of the battle pass and store.

Like MCC and H5, the game is not finished yet and will look like a hot mess with very little content the first 2-3 seasons.

I’d rather be pleasantly surprised when we get something cool, than set myself up for a disappointment. Hope the campaign is going to be amazing because the multiplayer, even though it plays amazing and feels great, is lacking in maps, modes, weapons, vehicles, customization.

There is very few new features. We like it because it is familiar and because it is Halo, but it doesn’t deliver as much content as current Halo 5 and we can only hope it gets updated with more content fast and that the new stuff we get is as good as we want it to be.

i dont understand how this feels like the most halo to some people. it feels exactly like halo 4 to me. in halo 4 all your plays were about sprinting. same thing goes for halo infinite. the clamber and slide barely add anything to the sandbox. in fact the game play for infinite closely resembles call of duty warzone because what are you doing all the time? sprinting and sliding. what are you doing in infinite? sprinting and sliding. halo 5 actually had its own identity when it cam to the thrust combos. halo infinite just feels like a wased out generic shooter.

with all that said i would actually prefer classic halo over infinite. sprint by itself does not work and causes way to many issues. you can even see it in the maps. super basic. a lot of hallways. a lot of open areas. no nook and crannies like the guardian in halo 3. just nothing interesting. and lastly stretched out. the maps are way to big infinite for 4v4
