I have thought about this for a long time. A music video that’s fan made. Now don’t just go right off and say “that’s stupid” or “they’ve already got a thousand made”. I’m aware of this but I feel as if none of them are truly a tribute to everything.
I’m thinking Linkin Park’s song Iridescent. The five minute version, not the crappy shortened one for Transformers 3. And it can have scenes that relate to each line. Standingin the wake of devastation being the E3 trailer for Halo 3 when John-117 saw the machine creating the portal to the Ark. Waiting on the edge of the unknown could be John-117 looking down over the edge inside Alpha Halo. Burst of light that blinded every angel could be when the Pillar of Autumn’s FTL drive blew to destroy Alpha Halo. You see what I’m getting at?
Using just a little sample of every Halo game, trailer, motion comic and DVD to create a huge mv to honour Halo’s very existence.
Or, even better, instead of one song make 3 back to back into one video. It can be a three part act in a sense. Act one is Forerunner clips with orchestra music, being Halo soundtrack or Two Steps from Hell (since they make good music), the second act being the Human-Covenant War with another orchestra song, being one of the choices I offered earlier. And the final act being Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas showing everything that’s been happening after the War ended.
By now you’re probably asking “why don’t you just do this yourself?” Believe me, I would. But alas I cannot. I do not have a PC powerful enough to make all this. I don’t have the software. Nor the money to get these resources. But worst of all, I lack the greatest resource there is: time. I work 2 jobs and am a single parent. I barely even play games anymore. So I’m asking you, the Halo Community, could one of you bring a vision like this, similar if not exactly, into reality? I would love to make this myself but I cannot. Please help me if you can. I would appreciate it.
