I have played 1 match of Halo 4 today

"Tomorrow I’m going to First Look with my friend. The main thing we want to do is Halo 4 and it’s the first thing we will try and do.

If you guys want me to find something out you can ask me, I might be able to answer it after I get back. The event is 7 hours long so I think I have a good chance of getting to play a few Halo 4 matches.

I don’t know what will be playable but I myself hope Flood mode and some slayer or objective on Ragnarok. I will get back here tomorrow evening and answer questions if I know them. :)"

That was what I wrote yesterday. Now today! :open_mouth:

I pretty much waited all day with my friend to play Halo 4. The line was long and it moved every 10 minutes or so. But even waiting didn’t make sure you got to play Halo 4. When you were in line you were given a ticket which could show a sad smiley, or a happy smiley.

Sad smiley: Not able to play, only watch.

Happy smiley: Be able to play it!!! :smiley:

Near the end of the day me and my friend both got a happy smiley at the same time. Chances were 4 on 30 or something, so we were pretty lucky! :smiley:

I only got to play 1 match of Halo 4 though, but it was incredibly amazing! Here are my opinions on it, but they might not be explained well…

I played Free For All on Exile and my loadouts were pretty much BR, Light Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Grenade, And some abillities but I didn’t really get to use those. It was an amazing fun match and I enjoyed every second of it. I got to use the BR, Light rifle, Storm rifle and the Carbine rifle. I also drove the Scorpion tank and the Ghost.

The weapons felt strong and really good! I had my doubts about the storm rifle but boy was I wrong, it was a very good weapon to use in Close Combat. The BR, Light rifle and Carbine rifle all were good too, they did the job right and are very effective at Long range shooting.

The scorpion I loved so much! I didn’t get blown up in 5 seconds after I got it! I actually got to drive around with it for a few minutes and I’ve blown some spartans up too! It’s definitely stronger than in Reach and so is the Ghost. They both felt very powerful, but not like they were overpowered. The map Exile is a beautiful map and it played very good! A very nice map for FFA. :slight_smile:

Halo 4 is nothing like Reach, it felt new and very enjoyable! I seriously cannot wait until november 6th now! So far away… :frowning:

Now onto the questions that were asked AND may still be asked. :wink:

(PS: I only answer the ones that are possible to answer)

King PWNinater: Use the Carbine, DMR, and Light Rifle.

I did and they are all very effective, most at long range. I used the BR the longest out of my playtime and it really felt great!

Tc IRayZen: How is the strafe there?

Shunfglol: PLEASE use the Storm rifle and the Suppressor. Also use the Auto-sentry and tell us how it was.
I want to see more of these.

As I said in my OP, the Storm Rifle is amazing and very effective at Close Range! Sound was pretty neat too and I liked it very much!

I didn’t get to use an Auto-sentry, but I was able to destroy one and it is a 1 hit kill with melee and it didn’t shoot me because I was facing its back.

I am pretty sure Forge won’t be a playable mode. It isn’t at other events either.

This is the First Look event from october 6th to 7th.

How is the strafe there?

Abandon will work with sprint as a default game setting?

The setting customs option its fairly enough to the remove sprint and bloom?

I personally am really interested in what the betrayal booting system is going to be like. So if there are any Q&A sessions…please :D?

Could you try and use the EMP/ Promethean grenades? Like use them in proper scenarios and let us know just how well they work. Like if they feel horrible and you’d be better off with a frag or if they can really hold their ground! :slight_smile:

Thanks for answering my question :slight_smile: (or part of it at least lol).

I really want to use the Storm rifle + the Magnum in my main loadout, I’ve always loved automatic Covenant weapons.

I tried to do a lot of things but you can’t do that much in just 1 FFA match.

Yeah, I wish you luck tomorrow. If you get a sad face you can still ask the girl who gives those cards if you can return it and then go back in line. Only do this if the line is short so you can immediately get another card and see if it’s the good one.

If the line is long however just go in, sit and relax and watch some awesome gameplay of Halo 4. And just hope you don’t get a noob on the big screen. Me and my friend had one and he ended last. Although he had some funny moments. :slight_smile:

How is the flinch? Is it random or just vertical?

Do you like this change or do you think the past system was better?

This is one thing that I’ve really been wanting to hear the feedback from someone who’s played. Thanks.

The thing is, I really don’t care about watching, how can I watch something so awesome if I can actually play it? It will frustrate me so much! :stuck_out_tongue:

Combat is really good. And not getting unscoped whilst being shot at is great imo.

Sorry to ask, but what is Flinch? I don’t know that english word and tried Google translate but he just gives me an error.

Flinch is like a massive recoil. When you get shot your aim moves around.
