I have posted some forum topics like “Do you still trust 343”, “Will you buy Halo 6?” and “343 don’t care about the community” but the last few days are the FINAL STRAW for me. When going into a Warzone game I could not access the req store for the ENTIRE GAME because of the infamous Retrieving Data bug. This has reminded me for the one millionth time that 343 could be be bothered to fix the bugs in halo 5 that have been in the game since day 1. This left me in a pretty rotten mood but things took a turn for the worst. I decided to play some action sack and about halfway through a match it struck me, these are community made gamemodes. There are no dev made playlists in the action sack which again shows that instead of actually caring about the community 343 just took a bunch of popular custom game modes and threw them into the one playlist (and more then half of them are terrible) And don’t stop reading as it gets EVEN WORSE. I then decide to play some infection and then another thing comes to mind, this gamemode could not have taken 7 FREAKING MONTHS to make as it’s just :
Two Spartans spawn with swords
When someone dies they spawn with swords
When everyone has swords the games over
And the same can be said for grifball which is just gravity hammer and energy sword respawns with nuetral bomb and a map that could have been made in a few days. So I have come to the conclusion that 343 delayed these gamemodes ON PURPOSE so that the updates would have a selling point.
It pains me to see halo being made by a studio who do not respect the original source material and treat their consumers and fan base like they don’t even matter. Now I will still by the next few halo games as I’m a die hard fan of the series and I would never simply abandon it but I have now no more trust and faith in 343 Industries. Thanks for losing my trust 343, thanks:clap:
Isn’t Action Sack normally community driven anyways? Plus its called Community Action Sack so it’s not like they’re trying to pass them off as their own thing.
And creating new game types and modes isn’t as simple as that. You’ve got the scripting, creating any new assets and audio, then if its an Arena map they have to create layouts for it and approve them. If its tailor-made Forge maps then they all have to get made, tested and approved. Testing and approval takes a long time if you don’t want to release a broken mess…i.e…MCC. Takes a lot of people. The game modes probably weren’t held back as long as you’d think. And yes, they want to bundle their content updates to get people more interesting and excited.
And trust me, programming anything is a -Yoinking!- pain.
I will concede though, the Retrieving Data bug is frustrating.
respecting isn’t cloning (H2/H3 are to way much the same, which has directly caused this old vs new rift). Bungie really didn’t hold Halo in the highest reguard, updates took years to come out, Reach broke lore/canon, Destiny was beening made in the shadowy background since before ODST, and they kind of stabbed MS in the back with Destiny content only on PS3/4 for 1,2 or more years.

He’s nasty because he doesn’t like how 343 is handling the halo franchise and they show little to no improvement while simultaneously barely communicating with the community, pooping on previous lore, and not even making there own btb maps
You know, there’s really no point in dismissing this guy’s complaints as just “whining” when they are (mostly) genuine complaints. At least hear him out and try to understand his point of view. There’s no need to be rude. Anyway, while I never cared for Infection (too many campers, I know that’s sort of the point but I just don’t find that fun) you can’t ignore the fact that Infection and Grifball were just two of many gametypes that should’ve already came with Halo 5 when it was released. I think the problem with 343i is they keep trying to fix things that aren’t broken. Why risk changing a formula that’s worked since Halo: CE? I would have much rather spent $60 on a complete game than on a half-baked, former-version-of-itself, disappointment of a game. It’s a little embarrassing that 343i has to rely on it’s consumers to make gamemodes and maps for them. It’d be fine of they had already made a bunch of maps and were allowing user-made content to be in the game, but that’s not really what’s happening. It’s just… sad.
No 1-50.
No br start.
no good maps.
Ha I never had faith in the game before it came out becuase I knew all this before the game launched. The last good thing 343 did was debloom reach.

Heck Reach was a beta test for Destiny. It’s all but a known fact at this point.

Have you played destiny? Reach and Destiny are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT games. Anyone who thinks their remotely similar obviously has either played one or neither.
Yeah. Not being able to pull out your reqs is always frustrating. And yes, we should have had more game types at launch, but we have them now (Well most of them lol!). Of course I wish they would put out more content, like KotH, Race, or Ricochet, but we do have a lot now. While I hope that Halo 6 comes out more polished, I do think that Halo 5 is a great game as it is now. If I look around at the pvp games that are out, I will choose to play Halo 5, because it is fun. But that’s just me.

Care to point out atleast two discrepancies in anything OP has taken the time to type out?
How is pointing out some very blatant mishaps/atrocities/scams/bugs that 343i has so carefully dumped on us make OP nasty? Seems to me that you are one of those 343i jihadists who would bomb out any negative opinion on this game much like the COD community, are you per-chance from said community? If not, learn to respect and understand someone’s opinion before deeming said person a liability to this community ffs.
