I have lost interest

I have been taking a break until they fixed something, and thinking that the playlist update today might be just that something, I jumped in for the first time in about a week. Tried out the Slayer playlist, it’s still just 95% AR team shot and not super engaging. Tried out the SWAT playlist, it’s obvious that these maps were not designed for that kind of gameplay. Spawn killing, horrible de-sync causing bullets to curve around corners/walls. The sight lines on most of the maps reach across the entire map, and the hitscan BR makes it extremely easy to hit those shots. I just don’t get it.

This game feels so half baked and I honestly feel bad for the devs at 343i who have to have known that this was the case, but were forced to push the game out anyways. I really, truly do not understand when some of you say that this game plays well. The controls are completely wack. Most fights are outside of RRR and fee bad. The maps are all just okay with the exemption of Behemoth which does honestly feel really good. Vehicle balance is horrible and driving/controlling vehicles feels very very bad.

I just don’t get it.

343 are the ones who employ folks who do nothing for the sake of diversity and publicity.

I’m just so tired trying to convince myself that this is a good game. If it looks like a dog, smells like a dog and sounds like a dog, maybe it’s just a dog.

I just played for ~1 hour for the first time in a week and can honestly say that I didn’t have a good time at all in that hour. If people are enjoying the game, seriously, I’m happy that you are enjoying it. I just don’t think that the game is for me, and as a fan of “classic” Halo, I do not understand people repeating that this is a return to form. I don’t get that at all honestly.

This game is Halo 4 with Halo 5’s controls and Sandbox. Sure, equipment is back, but it’s impact on gameplay is completely different than Halo 3’s, and is just a toned down version of Halo 5’s Spartan abilities for the most part.

the gameplay is an improvement from 4/5. but if anything, it’s modern Reach than h3. they marketed as reach in everyway, and monetized what people loved about reach. using every convenient and coinsidental excuse in the book to justify it.
the gameplay is alright. but it doesn’t offer anything new. and what it does offer is so not worth it. it’s barebones. it’s so barebones that one is better off playing any other halo game. at least they offer something other than ‘it’s free to play, so deal’

You are completely entitled to your opinion but in what way is infinite like halo 4?it definitely has more in common with all 4 multiplayer offerings that came before 4,than h4.

Running around and the scaled back Spartan abilities really remind me of Halo 4. Obviously there is a lack of loadouts, and that’s where the Halo 5 sandbox comes into play. To me it feels 100% like Halo 4 and Halo 5 had a baby. I don’t really get any CE-Reach vibes from the game at all, aside from the art style. But I’m talking purely about gameplay here.
