So iv been playing Halo 5 and I have complained a lot and I mean a lot! But I have actually realised that Halo 5 is actually my favourite Halo from a mechanic and gameplay point of view. I do dislike the maps, I miss vehicles being in arena, I hate the lack of customization and lack of gamemodes but I have to admit I absolutely love the gameplay!
I have been playing Halo from the day Halo CE hit the shelves and have spent countless hours on each game, everything from speed running and glitches in campaign to playing infection with hobir rules in Halo 2. Halo has always been my main game.
I want to apologise for the amount of complaining I have done over things like sprint and smart scope as I have come to find that I actually don’t dislike these things at all. I still love classic Halo of course and nothing with ever change that, Halo 3 has a particular sweet spot in my heart but I can say that I son believe that 343 has ruined Halo as I once claimed. I will not however stop complaining about lack of content or map design or the req system as these are very negative points for me but as a whole I think Halo 5 was a good purchase.
Also the music is awesome!

Starting to see a lot more posts like this lately thats great that you guys are courageous enough to actually apologize for it and see at least a personal silverlining in game

Halo 5 in reality is a great game!!
Halo CE still my favorite game, unfortunately none of my friends agree, and friends make the game more fun xD. Of course if Microsoft is also to blame for me not being able to play Reach, r.i.p. dreams. But yeah Halo 5 isn’t as bad as I also make it out to be, I complain about everything I play(I got it from playing League) but I won’t stop my constructive complaints.

I had a similar experience with Halo 5. I’ll be honest in saying the game hasn’t lived up to Halo 1-4 for me (I’m more lore / books / campaign / achievements / MM balance, not just MM), but I have enjoyed it way more as I continue to play.
I’ve beaten the campaign 3 times (plus other bits and pieces for achievements) and I went from honestly disliking it to liking it way more than a typical AAA game.
Halo just gets our hopes high and it can cause an overreaction when the new game doesn’t live up to the hype.

I don’t think it’s the best game overall I just think gameplay wise it is my favourite. I really didn’t enjoy the campaign if Halo 5 as much as I hoped. Halo CE will forever be my favourite campaign
I would say its a good game. Took them awhile to implement a lot of features, but overall it’s good. Not the fantastic system seller Halo once was.
Totally agree. The gameplay is the best yet. I recently switched between H4 as well ad Reach multilayer after playing H5 and I really enjoy what they’ve done with it. The gameplay seems more fast-paced and intense.
Yeah except for some map design issues which aren’t awful but far from addicting except for the early breakout maps and fathom along with the story. Other than that 343 is doing really good.

Seems like there is a lot of competition in the FPS genre these days. Has any recent game been a system seller? I ask cause I honestly don’t know.
