I have discovered the solution to the delay issue

  1. If you are mad about no forge and co op, DO NOT BUY THE GAME.

  2. If you don’t mind the delay, then BUY THE GAME.

  3. If you are mad about the delays but cannot resist purchasing, you are not outraged enough or cool :sunglasses: enough to use option 1. BUY THE GAME.

If enough people agree with you, then 343 will lose money and avoid this in the future at any cost.

If the population doesnt mind a delay of forge and coop, then you simply have to grow up and accept it.

I will be buying day 1. I am never gonna play co op campaign and i never have. I like to play as cannon as possible at the hardest difficulty and enjoying all the scenery and 100% completing the game. And dont even mention the blasphemy of split screen. I dont understand how people can enjoy lower frame rate, resolution, graphics and screen cheating.

if a friend or family member asks me to play coop with them, i would reject them and say “sorry i like playing campaign solo.”

And I dont want to wait for forge. i want to play BTB, 4v4 HCS arena, and campaign as soon as possible

The outrage is VERY justified and serves as to let 343 know that people will not pay for an unfinished game and ‘release now fix later’ has no place in the industry. Are you fine buying half a game at full price? good for you! are you fine with no coop and forge at launch? good for you.
The way i see it all this outrage shouldnt be bothering you then, and maybe you have to grow up and accept it that people have expectations that should be met.

i dont think you understood my post lol.

if you are outraged by the delays, DO NOT BUY THE GAME.

If you dont mind the delays, BUY THE GAME.

Are you against the freedom to choose what to do with your own money??

I changed the post and title so that a shallow response like yours will be irrelevant.

You stated you don’t understand the outrage, that was an explanation to it.
This has nothing to do with the “freedom to choose what to do with your money”.
It’s practices, standards, expectations, promises.

You’re changing the original post to make an answer you don’t understand/like isn’t relevant to the post in the first place?
At least you’re admitting to not actually wanting a discussion on it.

Bla bla bla. The new edited post is what i was thinking in my head. you can respond to it if you want but the old post and your comment is now irrelevant.

Totally in agreement with you, I have gamepass and indirectly I already have and I am paying for the game. We had delays with Halo Infinite and covid19 made it worse. It is not that co-op/forge is written off, we will get it and you need to make a choice for sure. I choose to play the game and keep up the good work 343!!!

Wow what an attitude.

But sure, let’s discuss the new stuff you “had in your head”.
The initial post was far more honest for your purpose, what you have now is nothing short of “to those it concerns, GET LOST, ME ME ME, I WANT”, without the underlying explanation of why your post is like that, atleast in written text.

First you said you didn’t understand, looking like you try to understand it, but that wasn’t the case, as, you had the same, idea before editing in the post, and you edited after getting one single answer, so that the explanation you got to the problem you have, not understanding, does not reflect the point you do want to get across.

You do not want to seek understanding.
Do you believe the way you said it is going to persuade anyone? You think your message is going through to those affected?
Or are you afraid you’re not going to get it the way you want? That i343 will rethink their position and delay Infinite for another half year?
Then again, maybe you just want to extend some middle fingers out to those who you feel are annoying, flexing your own superiorness with awesome stories of your own persona while you’re at it. I mean, how keewl isn’t it that you want to play the campaign as “canon as possible” ( of course Halo 5 becomes and issue for you there if you never want to play Co-op and that games was essentially meant as a co-op experience with all the extra characters who in canon aren’t mindless AI ), in your family, you reject each other, HARD. So rad to diss the “blasphemous split screen”.

Your comment was completely irrelevant to the post. Talking about my family and me personally. Its called ad hominem. Look it up.

The real purpose of the post (and the old one) is to show how childish the outrage over forge delay is. Just don’t buy the game if you are mad.

If 343 loses money and never releases the game with delayed fearures again and you win.

If 343 doesnt lose money, it means you are a vocal minority and nobody minds a feature delay for a earlier release.

His post is highly relevant. He voices his concerns and probably votes with his wallet. Imagine if everybody said what a great looking game Infinite was after the E3 demo…

Let’s be honest here, 343i never promised that there was going to be co-op and forge on release. To millions of people, only thing they care about is single player campaign. And if your outraged at them charging £60 for this campaign, then just look at Battlefield 2042, that is charging $60 or $70 for just 3 multiplayer maps. EA are way worse to their fans, but their fans do not care about the lack of content, they still will pay for it. So It’s not different for HALO fans, were over 90% of players will still pay up front on DAY 1.

OP just comes off as patronising. Seems like another one these threads where people like OP clearly doesn’t care about the majority of the fanbase and wants the game to be rushed out as quickly as possible. Telling people what to do with the game just because you couldn’t careless about the state of the game is not ok.

No it’s not, I’m questioning the purpose of it, the tone, the way it is presented

You brought your family in with the op, by doing so, and presenting it the way you do, you put some sort of persuasive value in what you claim to do.
I’m highlighting your action in a sarcastic manner to highlight how stupid it is to even bring such a thing up.

Not my fault for you trying to make a big deal out of all that.

Why hasn’t anyone thought of that before? Don’t buy if you’re disappointed? Genious.

Childish? Did you really pick the best manner to convey that message? I mean, talking about not understanding, then dismiss an answer and change a whole opening post to invalidate it.
Why do you care that much in the first place? You’ve already got what you want, there’s no delay in sight.

That would be splendid.

This would open up for more exploatation of the community and less and less good releases because developers and publishers get away with releasing less and less. Seen it before. Pushing the envelope.
So, it seems that the vocal minority is voicing something which is in the interest for the overall public.
I mean, it’s always “the vocal minority” who offer critisism on stuff, then the next game fixes stuff addressed, and “it’s the best it’s been in that iteration”.
Unless of course, you’re saying that the silent majority actually want to get less and less content, be nickled and dimed out of their money and get drip fed content over several years for the product to finally resemble what could be a finished product?

The game isn’t rushed. It’s been 6 years in development with a year delay. You want another delay? Delay your own purchase! In any case the game is scheduled to release this holiday whether you like it or not. And it should.

I wonder if Chris Lee would have gone forward with launch last year with the game in the state it would have been then…? The the delay didn’t happen until after Joe came back right?

This promise seems related to issues that led to him moving off the project.

I would love it if we got a documentary in the future about Infinite’s dev cycle from H5’s launch to Infinite’s launch. I think we would find a lot of horror stories in there, but the technical preview has me hopeful we’ll still be getting a pretty good game. I think it would ve very interesting…

Option 4: Complain about things you don’t like. Which is a perfectly acceptable and normal thing to do.
