Can someone please tell me about the balancing of the main rifles (BR/DMR/Carb/LR) in terms of fire rate, bloom, kill times etc.?
Also what do we know about AR/SR/Sup?
Thanks guys.

IMO it’s like this:
)?. Light rifle (Only know that it’s 4sk when scoped in)
does dmr have bloom? BR does look kinda weak.
I understand that DMR=Bloom, BR=Recoil, LR=must be zoomed, Carbine=fast fire rate and medium damage.
Doesnt that make carbine best overall?
And why is the DMR supposedly the best weapon? has it not been slowed?

This is completely wrong.
The DMR either has the fastest kill time of regular headshot weapons or it is tied with the Carbine. It is the longest ranged non power weapon with the capability to headshot.
The Carbine is the fastest shooting headshot weapon, but it takes more that 5 shots to kill. It is essentially medium range.
The BR is 5 shot kill and it is a medium ranged weapon. It kills slower than the DMR, but it is easier to kill at medium range than The DMR due to how accurate the DMR is.

Ok… All the gameplay footage I have seen just shows that BR is useless piece of -Yoink- and DMR will be the king. Carbine and Light rifle are somewhere in between.
Hope I am wrong…

But, Why is DMR longer range than Carbine? Dont they both shoot straight?
Correct me if Im wrong:
DMR:
Bloom.
More damage per shot.
slow rate of fire.
BR:
Recoil.
spread.
More shots per damage.
LR:
Must be zoomed in.
Recoil.
Carb:
Low damage, but fast rate. No bloom, no spread, no recoil, same damage zoomed and unzoomed.
Carbine is best???
The BR isnt useless, atleast not at Close-Medium Range, while I will still be using the Covenant Carbine as my main weapon of choice, the BR isnt as bad as some people seem to think, it chews through shields quite fast.
The DMR’s advantage is, its the best at Long-Range, it has no equal except a zoomed in Light Rifle at Long-Range as far as Primaries go. However once it begins getting into Medium-Range, Close-Range, confrontations it all comes down to the player, one miss can have you kissing the dirt quickly. A good DMR user will keep their misses to a minimum, so if you can control the DMR, and force it to be a lethal weapon for you at any range, then it will be the best, yet most players arent that capable and easily choke at some point.
It is best to carry a efficient Secondary as well, the Light Rifle would be a good weapon to pair with the DMR if you want to stay with the more powerful efficient Rifles.
The Carbine isn’t “the best” because it does low damage. From mid range out it struggles. Takes 12 body shots to kill and has a 2x scope which isn’t clear like the DMR or scoped in LR which both boast 3x and superior damage output. People seem to think that a fast Rate of Fire = Fastest kill time and that isn’t true.
There is nothing slow about the DMR’s firing rate either. Not sure what footage you’ve been watching.

Just watch some gameplay. You can clearly see that DMR is the best. BR cannot be used in long range fights and it must land all 3 bullets to match DMRs 1 bullet. LR destroys when scoped but I am not sure how fast it kills when unzoomed.

Exactly! DMR can be used effectly in all ranges.
I too will be using Carbine as my primary if DMR is not clearly better.
The DMR best all around rifle. bloom is almost negligible. Shoots fast and seems to have good aim assist
The BR is better than DMR close range. It is far better at finishing off a 1 shot. BR is hands down the SWAT playlist champ. Does not compete with DMR at mid / long range
Carbine is good suppression fire, but doesn’t really compete imo
Top main load out weapons and other weapons from best to worst.
And Most Powerful weapons.
Pistols

The DMR has the fastest time to kill (TTK) therefore it is considered the best. This means that the DMR will kill you sooner than a Carbine, BR, or LR.
Also:
DMR: 5 shot kill
BR: 5 shot kill
LR: 5 shot unscoped, 4 shot scoped
Car: 7 shot kill
Because the Carbine takes 7 shots it is not the premier weapon. The DMR is also better than the LR scoped because the LR scoped has a slow fire rate.
However, it comes down to player skill. If you are a better player than me, you will kill me in a 1v1 with any of these rifles. So if you’re playing slayer with randoms then choose what you want, but if you’re going into the MLG playlist it’s best to use the DMR.
Any other questions?
It also depends largely, very largely, on the Map’s you are going into the weapon with, and your play style. However, if your going into a Big Team Battle match, I would recommend you be packing a DMR or Light Rifle just encase things get dicey. However if your the type who is enjoys being on the defensive, and staying closer to the main bases, especially in Objectives, then the BR and Carbine is more likely the weapon for you.
This is since your main job is to keep those pesky attackers occupied and provide easy targets for your team to kill off, and with the BR, Carbines, fire rates you will score quick kills in the bottlenecks and more defensive areas of a map.
This means you will be best suited carrying either one of the Pistols as a Secondary or one of the Assault Rifle variants instead of a back up Precision Rifle, with the UNSC Assault Rifle being what appears to be the most efficient.
Whatever was the reason for you coming out from the cave, i would reccomend you to come back in for a couple more weeks unless you don’t want the whole game to be spoiled.
In regard to Weapons:
all the weapons are really balanced exept for DMR being a little better than all the others in most conditions.

The internet is sooooooo slow here. ugh, I can hear it dialing up in my sleep. Not the lag, anything but the lag Oh noooo!
Wait, DMR has bloom? I thought it was purely visual?
