I have the latest drivers across the board on my PC. Running an evga 3080 Ti gpu and I’ve had 4-5 crashes now in the last week. I would say 1/10 games.
I’ve never had crashes like this since the game first launched. Anyone else having this experience?
There was an update to the game about a week ago Where they added doubles. Something from that update might have caused problems. First I’d say try uninstalling and reinstalling.
PC crashes have been a huge problem since launch and a major reason why PC population is on a continued rapid decline. 343 didn’t know how unstable their PC build is until the 1st LAN tournament and over 100k people watched the stream keep getting delayed because pc’s were crashing in every single series. After that day they brought in more Xbox X and didn’t start using PC for competition again until recently.
Thanks for the news and update. I’ll try and reinstall it. Hopefully, that clears it up. Also, you make a good point about the population. Steam says we’re only getting around 4,000 people a day which is crazy to think about. Hard to believe Halo is only getting that many players.
Yeah PC population is going down the tubes unfortunately. But it’s good that the game is Free so that it encourages people to try it again when the game is finished and fixed.
The people playing on Xbox one and Series XlS could be carrying the population rn over 10K. But we have no real way of knowing. I miss the days when they’d confidently share how many active players there are in the game menu.
I remember in the Halo 2 and Halo 3 days when there was a million plus people playing every night the first couple of months post launch, and then always at least 100,000-200,000 players. That’s back when Xbox Live only had a couple olf million players too.
I play this via steam.
The game was pretty stable for me for a while however on Monday I had several crashes or game fully locking up. (Not responding)
Funny thing is the day before I had noticed some screen tearing & put on vsync.
I turned of vsync & minimum frame rate & not crashed since.
Weird?
Is your box Over Clocked? If not have you gone to steam and validate your files?
