I have an interesting story

It’s a story about a game developer that wanted it’s loved community back. They know what you guys love and wanted to bring it back in 1 package. They let Microsoft know what their intentions were and MS gave them the right away on ONE condition… that it will be available for the holidays. Knowing it won’t be ready, 343i told MS that they don’t have enough time but MS was so adamant on releasing it around the holiday that they began outsourcing various different parts of the game to idiots like Saber Interactive. Microsoft chose Saber because Saber can apparently use “Russia’s vast Computer Science, artistic rendering, and fine art talent pool while reducing costs of game development”. Microsoft chose the makers of R.I.P.D. The Game to port classic Halo games. All of this outsourcing (especially to -Yoinks!- like Saber Interactive) gave 343i little time to complete the User Interface, which is commonly the last aspect worked on in a game, for MCC. 343i needed time and they desperately tried for it but Microsoft said no. Stop thinking 343i is the “devil” of Halo when they’re actually the only people trying to save it.

When you outsource a game that tells me and anybody taking a business class one thing; you’re trying to get as many personnel to complete a product in a certain amount of time with least production cost as possible. A game developer doesn’t give a -Yoink!- about production cost because the publisher is the one handing them the money. Microsoft wanted to make a quick dollar and the community has been blaming the wrong people ever since.

I don’t care who the devil is or isn’t. If 343i is separate from MS and is trying to save it from evil Microsoft, then stop all production of Halo 5 and save it. They are not locked in some dungeon with guns to their heads. If they are the pure Halo saviors you assert they are, then desperate measures would be seen as privileged duties and would ultimately be carried out by any means necessary. You see, if 343 IS separate from MS and IS trying to “save” Halo, then killing production of 5 would be their best bet.

But if they’re there to make money and Halo’s just a job, then what we see now is what one would expect to see. You have a nice story, and I will happily and gratefully change my position and perspective when I’m offered real reason to do so, but until then, you’re nice story is just that… a story.

Sony and Nintendo doesn’t want Halo and 343i is too small to be a publisher. Killing production on something that has been liked by most of the community would be a stupid idea especially in Halo’s current state no matter what publisher you might have an offer to go to.
