Quite literally all the problems people have with this game could be easily fixed by adding more playlists with different settings. Not even too many.
1 ranked vanilla playlist, games can be chosen as BR or DMR starts, possible Magnum secondaries (because even if people don’t prefer the magnum, I don’t think anyone hates it. This can’t be said for the other secondaries or even any of the automatics. The Magnum is the 1 gun you never hear serious grief about…because it’s pretty solid as is.) This will be different than MLG because it will have more weapon and map variety and be a middle ground between super serious MLG ranked and a social setting playlist.
1 goof-off playlist like multiteam
1 ranked MLG playlist
1 vanilla BTB playlist featuring objectives
Probably this selection of 4 would give everyone what they want without creating playlists that will die within a week.
Assault Rifle/Magnum start is the only start that should ever be used. Every other weapon should only appear as a map weapon unless a special gametype like SWAT or Grifball.
They are going to have to have quite a few gametypes. Certainly more than 4 at least, I don’t know how you came up with this idea. I think we do need to add more ranked competitive playlists like MLG and The Arena from Reach.
> Assault Rifle/Magnum start is the only start that should ever be used. Every other weapon should only appear as a map weapon unless a special gametype like SWAT or Grifball.
Definitely not. I really dont want to go back to spawning in the open and getting gunned down without being able to retaliate by a team who happens to find and use DMRs or BRs.

It is that mentality that ruined Halo in the first place and ushered in the age of poor map making.
Halo 1-3 all had good map designs to prevent exactly that. If you couldn’t get to one of the many placed covers and got downed, that was your own fault for being awful.
Are all of the new age of gamers this babified and need everything handed to them on a platter? Please tell me it isn’t true.
You “precision weapons” take no skill to use at all. Halo 3 required most skill of all games thanks to the lesser magnetism and simulated bullets rather then hitscan.
THIS is what your glorious “precision weapons” in Halo 4 are.
Now compare those atrocities to Halo 3. And what made Halo 3 require even more skill? The simulated bullets required you to lead your shots.
AR Starts ain’t bad at all now that automatic weapons are actually worth a crap, but I agree it has to be DMR in ranked.
Now, did you say this was going to fix everything?
'cause I didn’t see anything about removing loadouts, making AA’s pick-ups, scrapping ordnance and going back to power weapons spawning every 90-150 secs, making JiP optional and the removal of cheap garbage like the boltshot and hit markers altogether. lol
This game was botched at it’s core. No re-arrangement of playlists is going to fix it alone.
all they have to do is add more playlist from ar/br starts, doubles and action sack.ect simple as that. The more options there are, the merrier people will be because they can’t complain about AA,loadouts, DMR, no MLG,ect since there are playlist with/without them.

343 reduced the playlist total in Reach before letting it go. Less playlists means faster search times… which are already long right now with so few playlists in Halo 4.
I’m not even surprised that key playlists are missing right though. There is still no logical explanation regarding why Squad Slayer was removed with Reach. Get used to senseless decisions with these people in charge.

No, no, no. It has to be BR starts. The DMR ruins the game as a spawn weapon.
And “Vanilla” means no gimmicks. You, your spawn weapons, and what’s on the map. No ordnance, no loadouts.
So Vanilla playlists will fix all the complaints.
Also lol at Halo 2 and 3 having maps that made non-BR starts viable. Yeah, I sure do miss those games on Guardian where everyone was crouching and waiting except for the one guy with a sniper and/or BR who was killing everyone.

Well first off, you will not be seeing an MLG play list in the game. Those days are long gone.
If you want to talk about playlists than that is fine. However, that wont solve a lot of peoples problems with adapting to the changes in this halo. People cry about loadouts and crap. People in todays age of video games and online gaming forums just like to whine and cry about anything and everything they can.
Personally, If I was handling the play lists it would looked something like this.
Ranked Infinity Slayer
Ranked Objective
Ranked BTB Infinity Slayer
Ranked BTB Objective
Ranked Doubles
Ranked Lone Wolves
Social Regicide
Social Slayer
Social BTB
Social Multi Team
DLC Only
That being said ranks would only be visable to yourself and on waypoint. I would not add a “classic” play lists for at least 6 months to 1 year.

Ohh, I see.
When I first read vanilla I was immediately taken back to the laughable FPS that was “Vanilla Reach”. I didn’t realize that you meant stripped down to classic settings.

A few things here.
The thought of officially “adapting” to the joke that this franchise’s multiplayer has become, would be a lot easier if they’d just change the actual name of the game, so I’m not convinced that I’m still trying to play Halo. Because the game play is nothing even -Yoinking!- remotely close to what it used to be, and no longer even deserving of the “Halo” title.
And when A LOT of people are complaining about the same things, it’s silly to think that it’s just petty whining to whine. lol
Add playlists is not going to fix anything in this game. The core of what made Halo, Halo is gone now. This doesn’t even feel like a Halo game anymore.
Make one set loadout for all gametypes ( except for the ones the hardcore MLG party ones) with the grenades perk so you can pick up grenades like on MLG and just make ordinance drop AA’s/other loadout weapons like BR/DMR excluding Boltshot which will be a pickup weapon on certain maps. This seems like a more reasonable way to take out 2 birds with one stone. Everyone spawns equally like old Halo we can still keep ordinance because while it’s sill random were not getting comepletly OP one shot weapons and we could also get rid of insta spawn in regicide/ free for all games and keep it in say big maps that arent running objective gamemodes. Seems more reasonable then the " Make it exactly like H2,H3!!!" idea this is Halo 4 yes we should keep the origional Halo feel but keep at the least ordinance and AA’s with the changes.

There should be Rumple Pit or a ‘Party’ gametype
And Flood need more customized maps =/
Spartan Ops is nice but, Firefight should stay too.
The Party gametype would have a Sword match, gravity hammer match… with team or without.
And minigames that the comunity does, like the slender in halo 4 by Brian.
