Why do guys like to choose the female Spartan model? It makes no sense, do they like to look at their female Spartan’s -Yoink- or something? I mean some guys think that the female Spartan have an advantage, but I call BS on that.
Seriously, if you want to look at someone’s -Yoink-, look at your wife/girlfriend, not some virtual character.
Seriously, every time I search, there is a -Yoink- ton of female Spartans in the pre-game lobby and most of them are not even girls, mostly -Yoink!- guys.
I need someone to explain this, I can’t make heads or tails with this.
I am a female because my armor looks better and my character is smaller, giving the illusion that it is harder to hit. When in reality, the hitscan is the same. Anyways, I have a small armor set up that looks better on a girl

I understand the hitboxes are the same, but some guys think that being a female has a distinct advantage over male Spartans, but in reality, like you said, both genders are the same.
I have no problem eliminating female Spartans, it just boggles my mind when I see a guy pretending to be one.
I dont use it, but people have told me the distinct sounds they make allow for auditory cues that can be differentiated from most opponents. It basically equates to a slight advantage when used correctly.

Haha #3 - hilarious. I play with two friends, both female (ingame and Real life lol) so it helps if the enemy team is all male cause if I hear a girl sprinting behind me, I know its friendly without having to look. That is honestly the only thing I find useful lol.

You really think it is because they are -Yoink!-? That is probably the most immature thing I have ever read. If you want to ask, then ask, but don’t sound like a -Yoink- while you do it. It’s just rude and ignorant the way you are phrasing your “question”.
I use a female Spartan because their panting is less obnoxious than the male Spartan’s panting. So it is not quite as in-your-face panting and slightly quieter to me.
I have also heard that when you crouch, it is slightly lower than a male. But I think that is just a myth.
LMFAO…Good Question. I don’t play as one, but i did once b4 and in my opinion they seem lighter and faster. Better to have gamer girls play, makes the game more interesting.

Sometimes it’s nice to be able to distinguish between a player’s sprint noises. If one player is set to be a girl and has been notorious for shotgunning, I’m probably going to try and back away.
I bet someone somewhere thinks the smaller character bears an advantage…

I take option 2.
The smaller body frame of the Female Spartan looks better.
I know Spartans are suppose to be enhanced super soldiers, but the body looks well, too bulky for my taste.

So I’m an -Yoink- for asking a question regarding the word “-Yoink!-” because I had no other logical reason rather than being ignorant about it…yeah OK.
The reason why I said -Yoink!- was the fact that some guys I got matched up with were having wet dreams over female Spartans and yes, that did actually happen. This happened a long time ago, after hearing that -Yoink-, it bothers me because the guy who said it needs help, but that’s not my problem.
I can see why the Bnet members despise this website and the community that reside here, not saying they are any better, but if this is the sort of replies I’m going to get because I asked a simple question, then screw it. Not to mention I got banned because of what, I bypassed the filter for swearing when it’s obvious I didn’t.
Yes, it was a bit of a rant because guys think they are in Spartan heaven when they hear their female Spartan sprinting.
No matter how I worded my question, I’m still going to get half–Yoink- replies anyway. This website can be a joke sometimes.
Lower-medium ranks do it because they “like the sound of it” (It being a prerecorded noise) and like looking at the female Spartan’s…-yoink!- (Which is just a bunch of pixels.)
Higher ranks do it because they mistakenly believe that it gives them a smaller hitbox.
People on teams might set all of their genders to female so that when they hear a male spartans sprinting, they know it’s an enemy. (However, it works both ways, when the other team hears a female spartan sprinting, they know it’s an enemy.
Transgender.
Gay. (Not to be used in a negative way.)
They are actually girls. (So about 0.01% of them).
They like the attention and think that they get betrayed less often. (However, for people like me, if a guy playing as a girl accidently betrays me, i boot them 100% of the time.)
Note: 1,2, and 3 are for the majority of people, not ALL of them. So don’t respond to my comment and be like, “I’m a high rank and i like the way the female spartan sounds!” or, “I’m a low rank and i think it gives me a smaller hitbox.” Again, this is the vast majority of the reasoning.
"Spartans never die, Jorge, they’re just missing in action.

You know, you might just give me hope after all, this is exactly what I’m looking for, thank you good sir, for this.
I also thank the others for giving me simple, yet understandable answers, none of that smartass BS I tend to receive when I post here.
I guess my case is closed. This thread no longer matters.

Yup, one reason I do it. Good tacticalness. Sure it can be used against you but unless you’re up against a full party I don’t think anyone is going to use it against you.
That’s kind of rude, eh? Now just because I identify more with the opposite gender and am slightly androgynous doesn’t mean I’m transgender because I use a female model. Psshhh.
Also, it DOES give an advantage against most players. Most players think it does change the hitbox. Ergo if you use a female model, whilst the hitboxes are the same, other players will want to compensate for it anyway and take that extra millisecond to aim, leaving you time to pull of the winning shot in a DMR duel.
