No.
As far as we know he isn’t and according to the Legendary ending something big is about to go down. I just hope we don’t have to wait years to see it since Infinite really didn’t do too much in terms of story except reset everything and act like 4 and 5 didn’t happen while also brushing off Cortana’s Arc like it was nothing.

Of course not. Chief needs to tell him who he is and that his face is the last thing he will ever see.

I disagree. The whole game they barely even mention the events of 4 and 5 or even any of the characters. Then for Cortana they were just like ok sorry we made her bad, but she’s dead now here have a new version of her. They basically ignored everything then just brushed off the Cortana stuff to try and start fresh instead of giving it an actual satisfying ending resulting in a campaign that just feels unfinished.
Don’t get me wrong I like where the story is going, but I think they should have tied it up better than they did. Hopefully we get DLC content out of the cut content they did have that’ll do a little better job at it.

Looks like no. Unless the post-credits sting is set prior to the events of the main game, which is possible, although I consider it very unlikely.
The way they set it up, Chief and Atriox have a grudge match coming in one of the story expansions IMO.

I honestly am happy though that they got rid of what happened, I personally hated it whole heartedly
I did as well especially Halo 4. I just feel like they should of did a better job at tying it all together because to me it feels like they were just like sorry that was our bad, but here’s the new stuff. Instead of improving and finishing it up while continuing the story.
Overall I love the game. It just felt a little unfinished to me and that could just be because they had to cut a bunch of stuff which is why I’m hoping they expand on it better with Story DLC or something because with how it ended you know they gotta have something coming here soon.

I completely agree, I read the majority of the books and replayed all the games before launch because I thought it was a good story but Infinite just seems more focused on catering to fans upset about Evil Cortana and just to trash the entire story with the Created. Nothing of any real substance was even shown on screen. I want to see how they will go from here but it was all pretty disappointing. Even a scene with the actual Infinity going down would’ve made a lot of difference

Yeah they couldn’t even of bothered showing us a cut scene of the whole battle before Chief got tossed. All we saw was the very end with no lead up or any real explanation of how it got to that point. Hopefully if they do DLC they explain it better cause all we actually got in game was Chief telling the Weapon that Cortana threatened earth, but we have no idea really of why they went to Zeta Halo or how the whole battle with the Banished started. It’s like if you’re going to retcon two games worth of story Arc then do a better job of setting up what happened between 5 and Infinite. Doesn’t have to be game play, but a 5 minute cutscene explaining it would have gone a long way.

Yea on Heroic and Legendary, honestly the first scene with Atriox vs Chief and the Grunt Communication towers were my favorite part of the game. The audio logs were good for the most part
