So most of us know that in Halo 3 there was something called Equipment. (Bubble Shield, Regeneration Field, Trip Mine, Gravity Lift, etc.) Armor Abilities replaced Equipment in Halo: Reach because Bungie said that the Equipment was useless. But then people started complaining about the Armor Abilities in Halo: Reach. So here’s my question. Which one fits and works better in Halo. Armor Abilities (the replacement of Equipment), or Equipment?
I like Halo 3’s equipment better than Reach’s AAs, but the Halo 4 AAs intrigue me. I’ll have to wait and see before I make a final judgement.
It really depends. AAs if done right could be amazing enhancement to gameplay.
Both, I want people to Thruster into my landmine!
Most items work better as map pick ups rather than loadouts.
Equipment, if only because Halo started as an arena shooter and equipment fits with that frame work.
Still, I don’t dislike AAs.
Halo 4’s AAs look less OP(IMO) than Reach’s which I like. Sprint was the only AA in Reach that I loved and now that everyone has it I was a bit worried about also having an AA, but from what I’ve seen, the Halo 4 AAs are balanced to where they help but they aren’t OP. They are tools rather than game-changers
I like both, but I think Halo 3’s system of picking up the items on the map was far greater. I dont know whhy more emphasis wasnt placed on the AA/Equiptment. It really could have pushed the boundaries on Map control
