Why haven’t they removed Armour Lock from matchmaking?
It is a personal favor just for me, Im attempting to get 20,000 rejection medals before Halo 4 =P
Why would they?
They just released a Title Update which nerfed Armour Lock which means it is not a 6 second invincibility off-spawn, Armour Lock is easy to combat now if you are cautious.
The better question is: Why the hell can Jetpack run rampant when Armor Lock has a place. Since Evade is gone, AL is the only way to dodge grenukes.

Just to point out that Jetpack can also avoid grenukes too. (Unless the guy throwing stickies is unbelieveably accurate [or lucky].) I’m disappointed Evade was removed as I enjoyed its use.

I hate armor lock as a loadout, but it’s actually much easier to deal with now. You fire your AR into the guy and he comes out in 2-3 seconds instead of 6, which is alot better.
I love you 343 for killing Noob-roll. I can’t even count the ways Noob-roll Yoinked MM.
Now they need to remove Noob-lock from SuperSlayer, and all other game types except BTB.
Honestly, everyone should be required to have the same AA in all game types. That way those with skill are rewarded for their skill and not the ability to Noob-lock, Noob-roll, Noob-pack.

except evade added more skill gap to this game than any other mechanic in the entire game.
‘noob-roll’? really? more like ‘this AA has the potential to enhance the halo prowess of good players so their playing skill actually matters in the least against the casual / illogical / and stupidly implemented mechanics’
I think the more important question is why Asylum hasn’t been replaced by a better remake.
I can live with AL in the playlists that its currently in.
Jetpack is more of a concern to me than AL.

I think a lot of you exaggerate this issue way worse than it really is. There is also an achievement for it, so it ain’t going anywhere.

It is greatly exaggerated. It definitely has its uses, especially in BTB. It just slows gameplay/kill times down soooo much.
But agreed, I don’t think its going anywhere.

Because it’s 343’s intent to keep it in H4, they can’t really remove something that they will promote in their next installment. it’s pretty obvious.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother with this one…
Explain to me how being able to dodge all grenades, bullets, and flee to cover when you were outplayed “skillful”?

Short answer? They can’t. There are achievements tied to it so AL stays.
I don’t understand why people have such an issue with jetpack? Most people that use it are scrubs or “out-of-bounds” campers… neither very effective in the course of a game. If someone is using jetpack, 9 times out of 10, the one without that AA should win the fight.

Slows down gamplay? huh?
It’s only slow for the person who decides to sit there and stare at the guy in AL like he’s some sort of circus side show. A few seconds is also not an eternity bud.
Reach has many different types of playlists. Go play the playlists where AL is not an option.

I do prefer playlists without AL. You wouldn’t think a few seconds is an eternity, but nothing else in the game slows down gameplay quite like armor lock. A few seconds is all you need to skew everything.
Something like BTB it wouldn’t be hard to just shift your view to another opponent, but smaller playlists like Objective thats not always the case.

Right, just like the Defiant map pack achievements. Oh wait, those are STILL hard to even get a match for! lol…
In all seriousness, AL is a great asset, with the T.U. being just about everywhere and the nerfing that has occurred on it, I’m shocked you still have an issue with it…
Yes after the TU it is not as bad as it was before.
But then they removed bleed-through.
So if you no-shield a player who then goes in to AL, when he goes out of AL his shields will start recharging instantly (which is f**king stupid) and it will take not one but TWO shots to the head to kill him!
They should fix bleed-through and put it back in matchmaking!
+No player should survive a shot to the face by a Scorpion tank, it shouldn’t matter which AA you use you should still die.
And on the achievement question: They should remove it from all playlists (including BTB) except normal non-TU Team Slayer.
Except one of the achievements has to be done in BTB so…still not happening.
