It’s only Battlepass levels, but i think that they did say that they will add normal level ups later.

This isn’t a dumb question either. I was wondering the same thing. Rlly strange choice. Game is fun, but it’s rlly bogged down by huge progression issues. I don’t feel like I’m doing anything worthwhile.
The game is very fun tho, atleast it has that going for it first and foremost.

I really hope they add a Halo Reach style leveling system I loved that so much, a leveling system is needed in a shooter

Yep, better than Valorant imo. Not very fast pace just right. I’m glad they release it
At launch, Halo Infinite will feature one primary progression path for players which is tied to a seasonal Battle Pass .
We have heard community feedback around wanting more progression options including things like “match XP” to feed into the Battle Pass and an entirely separate, incremental system along the lines of earning SR152 in Halo 5: Guardians. Expanding Multiplayer progression offerings is something the team is actively exploring, and we look forward to continuing to evolve the experience in future seasons post-launch.
