I have a problem :/

I have contacted Xbox live support about this and this is where I have been pointed to and told that I could be helped here so here is my problem
When I Boot up Halo 5 everything is normal. As you can tell I really like the game mode SWAT, so I play a game of SWAT and I gain no Req point and I don’t think I gain XP but it also wont let me use my boosts, says I have no Req points, and oddly the pictures in the Helmet, armor, assassination, stance, and visor sections wont show. When I contacted Xbox live support they told me it was due to a corrupted file and was told this website could help so please help me.

if it is like most other MP games today , there should be a copy of your progress saved in the cloud servers. If you go into My apps and under Guardians should be your save file (with your profile name) it should be as simple as deleting the file from your Xbox ( be sure to manage the save not the game) and when you restart the game it should say something along the lines of “syncing your save files” or some such and you should be good.
I am not an ambassador or 343/Microsoft affiliate , and not 100% sure about this answer , it may end up deleting your progress permanently , so get confirmation first.

Would uninstalling your profile from your xbox and reinstalling it do the same thing cause if so I have already done that and it didn’t fix anything

I don’t think so because each game has an individual save file inside the mange game options. I don’t think they are removed unless you specifically told it to remove all related items to the profile.

I know it is kind of a long time to wait but I would be happy to test it with my progress when I get home from work because I don’t play enough for it to matter. it will be about 6 and half hours however.

ill be asleep then but if your still willing to do it you can post what happens on here and I’ll check when I get the chance tommorrow

will do.

ok so if you press start on Gaurdians in My games , it should give you the manage game option. Inside you will find the game install and on the far right should be any profiles that have saves associated. Choose your profile and delete. it should ask if you want to delete the file from your console or everywhere. choose your console and when you load up H5 your cloud save should start downloading.
just be sure not to delete it from every where or it will be a permanent reset. This may be the only option if your cloud save has also been corrupted somehow.

Thank you for trying this I woke up and halo 5 was working normally again (this is after multiple games) but will do this if problem reoccurs

unfortunatly it didn’t work I will have to just delete and reinstall halo 5 #ripmyinternet

I’m sorry , that sucks. This was the only thing I could think of that you might be able to do with out losing every thing.
Wish I could have been more help. You would think that some one with some type of association might have offered something.
I guess bad customer service is another thing I can list in my future problems with 343. Generally , Microsoft themselves are pretty good in that department.

I feel bad for you OP
