I have a new proposition...

EMP grenades being added to Halo. Yeah, I know about half of the posters will say this is way too CoD but I see some great uses coming from this concept. I’ll elaborate.

With my proposed EMP grenade, you’ll be able to throw it and completely wreck Pro-vision and literally fry Active Camouflage (if it’s active that is…) users in their own suits. The down sides would be that they can do no physical damage other than instantly kill AC users as well as NOT stop vehicles. (After all they should be built EMP resistant)

What I mean by wreck Pro-vision is that it flashes you like the flare from Halo 3 and never allows you within your current life to use it again.

I don’t know what you guys have to say or fix with the concept but please express comments.

Uses:
-Fries camo users on the spot not killing them but reducing their shields and killing their Camo for at least 90 seconds.

-Kills Pro-vision for 90 seconds and temporarily flashes pro-vision users with it on.

-Stops vehicles for 3 seconds doing absolutely no damage to them.

Downsides:

-Only spawn with 1

-Small radius

-No physical damage to un-shielded players.

Was about to say, spawning with Plasma Pistols is bad enough. Even then though would I find it weird to have an EMP grenade that doesn’t work on vehicles. Anyways, I like the idea and it’s a good way to combat against Active Camo and PV. However, instantly kill AC users? I’m not sure that would be very fair.

All someone has to do is look on the radar and notice a Active Camo user is near by and then simply toss a grenade.

I’d rather have it work as a scrambler, mess with the PV and expose an AC user a bit more.

This is pretty much the hacker armor ability. The AA for some reason was trashed but it turned off everyones AA that you aimed it at.

Interesting idea, instant kill would be too much on AC so maybe make them one shot and visible?

On promethean vision that’s a cool idea but i’d just turn it off and be fine :stuck_out_tongue: also lasting for the whole life is a bit harsh

And this sounds to me like fun but not worth swapping out frags so I’d actually vouch for a super versatile emp nade (only one in loadouts maybe) that would stop vehicles like the plasma pistol, would affect camo users and promethean users, or maybe just stop the other person using their Armour Ability for a period of time?

An interesting idea, but I don’t think it should render an AA useless for life. Maybe if it worked similar to the Pulse Grenade or Power Drain, in that you throw it, and it completely drains the AA meter of an enemy. Possibly drop their shields if they are within the radius for long enough, too.

One up that Brotatoe and when you reach a certain kill streak you activate an EMP that effects the whole map!!! Hear me out Brofessor, this BA scrambles HUDS, takes outs PV, AC, oh yeah, and since we are really going down the Halo rabbit hole, it also knocks out other kill steaks like Pelican Gunners, Hornets, and even the MOA Kill Streaks, the ever terrifying Scarab!! Yeah, it is a little OP, but if you can’t take the heat dont step in the Infinity Spartan Combat Simulator Broseph!!

Would make sense canonically, as spartans were known to carry EMP grenades in the books.

Dude going through that Droid factory with all those SBD’s scared the -Yoink- out of me, never knew when one was going to activate…

i think the thing with an EMP grenade, is that it would fry your suit, radar, sheilds

just disables your AA

We had Power Drain thingy before. We could have something similar now.

combine a radar jammer and power drain into a single hit grenade
i think to make that fair, like the pulse grenade you could only spawn one

I like the idea, and of course, only so long as it remains balanced.

I would love to see it make radars turn snow with a slow, gradual recovery of say 30 seconds… Now that would be nice.

How about some Anti-AA Support Upgrades as well? We already have Stealth to combat PV, why not also go after AC and Jetpack?
