I was just wondering, for those of you who already own the game, approximately how long does it take the multiplayer disk to install?

My guess is as good as yours, but I hypothesize that given the massive size of the game…

It could be from 20 minutes to 45 minutes.

I was told that 8 gigabytes would be needed to suffice for an effective installation, so it could take a while depending on the speed of the hard drive.

Example:(A 12gig versus a 320gig)

Well, since it’s an install and not a download, I don’t think it would take as long as it would to download something from the Marketplace.

I’m taking the safe route, and just installing the game as I play the Campaign.

I assume I can just pop the second disc in, begin the download, return to the dashboard, and put the Campaign disc in.

However, if it is a short download, I don’t think I’ll have this problem.

Well Forza 3’s second disk was only 1.9GB and it took a short while to install.
So, case in point, your going to be waiting a while.

About half the time it took for the campaign disk to be installed.

I heard the disk is 2 gig and each episode of spartan ops is 1.2

If it is truly 8gb it should take 15-30 minutes to install on a official hard drive. I install all of my games and ones that big usually take around 20min if I am remembering correctly.

This is way better than the 20gb of content I had to install for BF3. About 11 of that was disks. Took Me about 3 hours :confused:

It’s an install, not a download. It comes straight off the disk.

usually when downloading something on the xbox you need to stay on the dashboard, if you play anything the download will pause. Also if you take the second disc out the installation/download will stop.

I know for Alan Wake it took mine about 11 minutes to install. It’s only 2.4ish GB though.
