  1. A Promethean is the highest form of a Forerunner Warrior-Servant (the militaristic rate of the Forerunner Ecumene).

  2. Humanity are identified as Reclaimers by Forerunner structures because, seemingly, the Forerunners passed down their guardianship of life and the galaxy to them. Thus, we assume their role in protecting the galaxy and rebuild their empire.

  3. I just made a little analysis thread about that sphere.

Short answers:
A Promethean is a high ranked Forerunner warrior0.
The Chief is called the reclaimer, because he is to reclaim Forerunner technology.
The giant ball was (probably) carrying the Didact, a notable Promethean.

Prometheans are the highest class of Forerunner warriors, although the enemies labeled “Promethean” are not them, but some kind of defense robots, much like sentinels

All humans are referred to as “reclaimers” by Forerunners, because they were chosen to carry on the Forerunners’ legacy

And as for the floating ball thing, nobody has any idea.

  1. Prometheans were the highest class of Forerunner Warrior-Servants. The enemies seen in Halo 4 are not these Prometheans, but are instead some kind of artificial constructs that defend Requiem, not unlike Sentinels on Halo.

Correct. However, they do have some direct connection to the Forerunner Prometheans.
