Tonight I got home from work and fired up WZFF Heroic, some pun intended, to work on my grind for the upcoming Helmet pack. In the beginning of the match, at the countdown screen, well there wasn’t no countdown, so I know I’m going to be thrust into a JIP. I usually back out, but this time I decided to go forward. So I started halfway thru round 2 Protecting the Forerunner Core on Temple. Piece of cake. Round 3 were 2 Soldier Bandits, (soldiers on warthogs), so I decided to use a Random Vehicle Req. and got a Gungoose. I didn’t reach any of the Soldier Bandits in time. Round 4 were 3 Soldier Operatives, (soldiers in mantises). With my little old Gungoose I helped take down all 3 without dying, but did not, I repeat, did not get credit for any of them even though I was in the thick of the action. Now I ask, what kind of BS was that? It’s funny that we are expected to accept the “JIP situation” just to be crapped on when we do. I am all in for having a positive mentality toward the game. But I think it is not fair that we, or at least me, to not get the credit due for the effort placed into trying to win the match which is the whole purpose of the game. And to be honest, we did win the match, but my RP req. card that I selected was not applied, so I did not get the points for the little that was included in my final Carnage Report, even tho I was awarded with a Mythic Boss medal in the end. I usually do not take the time to write these type of comments because they do not add anything positive to the forum pool. But I had to get this off of my chest because it’s really not fair. I do not expect anybody to even read this, but I felt that I had to but this out there. And now that I feel more calm, I am back to my grind.
And in the end, I might not even get the Helmet Pack. Just saying.
I read it! And yes, there is some frustration and understandably so. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done on our level.
JIP is a pain in da butt. I remember being loaded into a game with like 30 seconds left 
That’s nothing I had a jip on firefight where I joined and didn’t even load before going to intermission.
On several occasions, I have joined in time to see that we had been defeated. The ones I remember, one I received 71 REQ points, the other 125 REQ points.
I joined into a game a week or two ago that had 15 seconds left in the 3rd round and they still needed to kill like 20 soldiers so I never even fired a shot and got the loss. lol
Sunday I got a join in progress in action sack for warthog racing and when I joined in the guy crossed the finish line for the win right when I spawned. HA! I couldn’t believe I wasn’t able to stage a comeback ya know? So stupid.
JIPs are often a losing battle, but once in a blue moon, there will be a JIP where you can win.
I once joined a JIP (Shotty Snipers on Tyrant) where my team was struggling badly, and yet I managed to turn the tides. In other words, I joined in at the right time and won the match for my team. 
One time I joined an assault match and there were only 8 seconds left to go. Luckily I joined the winning team and won the game by just taking a couple of steps haha.
