I need a concrete list of my options or a link to a website that breaks down all my options. Thanks.
just install it to a flash drive.
By a 16 gig flash drive. That’s what I just did.
Ok thanks for the quick responses. Currently my xbox live account is on a 6 gig flash drive. Is it easy to transfer the stuff on that drive over to the 16gig larger drive? Obviously im not a tech person.
Yes, it is easy.
Here’s a cheap solution:

Yup. Just pick a transfer cable and follow the options at the “Xbox-System” settings.

You don’t need a transfer cable with flash drives.

Get an 8 GB or more (preferable more for extra downloads gametypes and games themselves…)
New XBOX 360
Thats all youve got to decide from
A flash drive will work just fine, but seeing as black friday is only a few weeks away. I would recommend an external hard drive they almost always go on sale for black friday. Looking forward to seeing you online on the 6th!
Edit
Actually, I forgot that external hard drives will only format up to 16 GB even if they have more space. So given the situation a flash drive or an actual 360 hard drive are your only options. Sorry about that.
A flash drive.
I’m sorry. I haven’t really been on here that much.
I am not even aware of any of this.
Halo 4 will ship on 2 disks right?
We have to install one to our hardrive? How big is it?
You can use multiple flashdrives at the same time.
I also bought the 4GB version and before I got my HDD, I had two flashdrives connected to my xbox and was installing games on those. My account was on the internal memory of the 360.
Once you buy a HDD, transferring stuff on it from the flash drives is pretty easy and relatively quick.
Don’t buy a flashdrive larger than 16GB. Xbox will only use 16GB.

You could just keep it on the 6 gig and use two flash drives. More space that way unless you need the usb ports. Don’t forget that there is a third usb port in the back.
BTW 16 gigs is the max you can use for a flash drive so if you were to use say a 32 gig, it will only format 16 gigs for the xbox. I don’t why but it is probably so microsoft can sell their overpriced hard drives.

You can install it on a flash drive or harddrive and it is 8 gigs.
You don’t have to install it. The Idea is that you install all the multiplayer stuff then you can just use the first disc and not worry about swapping discs all the time. Plus the maps will load faster.
Just buy a hard drive with more memory. I think 20 gig hard drives are pretty inexpensive.
Get on Amazon (they have the best prices) and buy a 16GB (or bigger) flash drive. I just did that myself because my old 20GB Xbox is too full. I suggest getting a SanDisk flash drive because that’s who makes the official Xbox flash drive. That way there is no compatibility problems.

That looks like a good deal.
So many uninformed people. Xbox 360 can now go up to 32gb on flash drives/external hard drives with the latest dashboard update. So stop giving incorrect info.

Thank you for informing us (me)! Now I need to go cancel my amazon order and get a bigger flashdrive.
