That’s right; a couple of weapon skins, two loadout weapons, and one assassination. 3 Silver Packs altogether. Since 343i finally gave Emblems their own slot in Silver and Gold packs, I will be able to begin grinding Gold packs 10x sooner than I’d anticipated.
I’m tempted to just blow $6 bucks on the remaining Silver packs and save my REQ points for the Gold ones. Should I?

Well if you still have legendary Armor/Helmet REQs you want, I’d suggest just going for those. I have everything unlocked except for the new Emile, Jorge, Kat stuff and the two helmets you can’t get through packs. I’ve gone through 12 gold packs so far and haven’t unlocked any of them yet. Just weapons and the rest of the weapon skins I didn’t have.

The one armor set I want more than anything is Centurion. How often do Mythic REQs drop from Gold packs once you’ve finished grinding all the content from Silver packs? Is it all Ultra-Rare gear with the occasional Legendary, or an even mixture of Ultra-Rare and Legendary?

Not often enough. Though I was REALLY lucky to get my fav set (mk 4) REALLY early on from moving from silver to gold. Id say the mix is mostly ultra rares with some legendaries, but not rare enough to be a godsend.
The news about emblems was music to my ears. I’ll be able to start getting gold packs much sooner than expected.

Great thing, if 343 starting talking to the community about the things they were considering/doing, it would solve a lot of their problems. Even though this is waypoint were talking about. Anyway, coming to the end of my silver grind aswell. Good feeling.

The mythics that come out in updates normally just drop in the first few gold packs you get if you have everything else unlocked (the exception being the Reach armors). I found that it for around every 10 ultra-rares, you would get a legendary; Mythics being the last things I unlocked out of all of the armor/helmets. They never dropped until I had almost everything else you can get from gold packs.

From data I’ve gathered, it seems like legendary mythics drop more often when there are little to no ultra-rares are left. However, even then the chances are 1/10 or so.
I don’t know about Ultra-Rare mythics.
