I hate to say this, but to fix Halo 4...

remove the DMR,at least from loadouts.

I am a huge halo fan, played every one, love Halo 4 to death, but the DMR is too much of a trump card to be in the game. All other starting weapons equally match each other, but the DMR too often sits above the rest.

People can bring up kill times, but honestly, speaking from experience, you can tell the DMR almost always wins. It’s removal would keep all the other new additions to halo 4 from changing, yet bring new life to the game.

Agree? Disagree?

eliteslaya13 brought up a good point from bungie themselves.

> “We don’t ever want to create one super-weapon that works in all cases. Because that tends to make the game fairly dull, it’s really up to the player to decide how they want to play on a particular map to their choice.”
> - Halo 4’s DMR = All-purpose super-weapon.

im fine with it being a power weapon, as long as there is a small number on the map and not a cluster of them.

100 Percent correct. Buffing/nerfing all the weapons would be confusing.
My suggestion, just like yours, REMOVE the DMR from starting loadouts! Its practically a power weapon with its long range and quick fire-rate. It would balance out all the other weapons and add variety to the game! No more DMR shots from across the map Ragnarok.

You can’t simply remove a weapon from a game. You paid $60 or a game with the DMR, you can’t just remove it at the majority of the community’s request.

It simply needs a nerf.

Maybe a removal isn’t possible, but it should definitely be changed

A RoF or bullet magnetism nerf should do the trick, there is no need to take it out entirely.

There’s a really easy and awesome solution. Remove loadouts.

Won’t happen though =(

Also a good idea! Have it as a pick up

Removing loadouts will just make mad those who like them. Me for example, I love spawning with my trusty Carbine, which in my opinion, feels better to me to handle than a BR and DMR. Taking a step back in this matter will not help.

My only problem with the DMR is it’s a boring gun to use. If 343 kept it the same I wouldn’t be disappointed.

I’d say make it an ordinance weapon and slow the fire rate down. Leave every stat except for the fire rate in a nerf and put it as ordinance instead of a loadout weapon would make things better.

And, I’m not sure where I’m goings saying this, but we have lived through this before. Make the Battle Rifle a 4 shot kill, but not by a lot. Like the Battle Rifle from Halo 3. That was good. Maybe we could get that back.

Well, if we’re lucky, the Devil’s crutch will be left behind in the next games.

Only if we remove the BR with it.

I love how people keep not blaming the auto-aim. Why the hell there is aim-assist is what continues to bewilder me…and annoy me, I’m used to games that don’t try and do the aiming for me, so it actually makes me aim worse because I’m used to correcting my own shots -_-

> Only if we remove the BR with it.

You’re joking right? Please, help me harmonize.

Seriously, the Battle Rifle is a part of Halo history. The DMR is only 2 games old, and has been hated by those who have played Halo since the original trilogy in both games. It has no legacy and is a horrid weapon nonetheless. The Battle Rifle lives on. The devil weapon’s reign shall end!

Aim assist is necessary. Halo 3 and Gears 3 made it right. Halo 4 on the other hand… It’s almost auto aim with huge bullet magnetism. It does need serious nerfing.

What all games don’t need is a huge stick threshold (in-game DZ). Why do I need to move the right stick by 10-30% for the reticle to start moving?

> Only if we remove the BR with it.

well… that makes no sense… why?

How about we just remove all the weapons cause someone’s always crying about something being overpowered. We can throw rocks at each other. Remove rockets cause they are overpowered compared to my br, waahhhh take out the plasma pistol cause it stops my worthog, take out the grenades cause they hurt. Man up and just fight with the weapon you choose and if you get beat, get better.

Compare this to competitive sports. If you’re a football player, do you “man up” when another player uses something that gives them a competitive edge over you, like performance-enhancing drugs?

I think they should just Buff the other primary load out precision weapons.

Simple, yet effective. I like it. For now, I will have to suffice with the team throwdown playlist.
