I hate to say it but...

im already getting bored playing Halo 4. Hell Reach was horrible but i didnt get bored of it till about 2 months. Every game i play in h4 feels the same. Idc if i win or lose now. Theres no heart pumping moments like in halo 1/2/3.

Im a level 65 but it doesnt even matter. Everybody will eventually reach it. The game felt amazing at first but it quickly wore off. No power weapon spawns, instant respawn, same maps over and over, people camping around corners crouched with camo and that stupid shotgun pistol. Wtf. What happened to my beloved Halo???

Visible ranks will fix this. But, so many haters promote the idea that people who need ranks are just nerds who want to show off their epeen and need that self satisfaction. There is much more to visible ranks than most people understand and it shows with this game and Reach.

Level 65 already? I found your problem. You’ve overplayed it.

I did the same thing in Battlefield. I played my -Yoink- off and got to like lvl 80 colonel after like 600 hours of gameplay. After that it just got boring and old.

Take a break and come back, you’ll like it again.

That’s because although Reach had problems at least it had variety and options. H4 has problems and no variety, worst of both worlds.

I could act like a halo fanboy and rain insults down upon you without having any defense other than, “adapt noob”. However I have common sense and can see this game is a huge steaming pile of Yoink. Therefore, I know exactly where your coming from.

Well I played halo 2 night and day for years. It never got boring…

I kind of feel the same way. I’m in denial about it, but today I was looking for a new game to play and this game is barely over a week old…WHAT THE HELL!!!

I played thousands of games on Halo 2 and 3 and never got bored. I played lest then 600 on Reach before I got bored of it and I have less then 150 on 4 and I’m already bored with it. I hope something changes soon or I’m stuck with no games to play but Madden 13.

not enough maps. idk how 343 could think 10 maps could be enough. 14 in reach weren’t enough and here we are with only 13 maps, 3 of which aren’t even in match making.

i don’t like the way 343 is handling this. they said they were going to take swat out after a week but so many people are playing it they need to keep it now.

343 doesn’t know what they’re doing

True, did the same with COD4 and Mw2 and never got bored. BF3 wore me out man lol.

I’m still really enjoying 4. I’ll see how I feel in a week or two, that’s when it usually gets to me that the game is getting boring. They should have a bigger variety of maps though.

BINGOOO!!! This is exactly what happened to me today!!! I loaded up counter-strike GO and as I played I realized i was having more fun playing GO then h4…sad face…

lol. I don’t even play anymore I just head straight to Gears 3 or Forza 4.

leave and come back after awhile. or just leave. its not going to change any time soon and its not like its going to reinvent its self over night. bye

True I’m tired of playing the same maps over and over. I wouldn’t mind but see none of them are fun!

I must admit to feeling exactly the same,

My 15 year old son got BLOPS2 on Tuesday and if it hadn’t been a CoD game, i’d have traded him something to have a shot, but eventually just turned it off and picked ‘Grasslands’ and read a few chapters of that instead,

Halo 4 has became old quickly, and the scoring is now a real bug bearer for me too, getting stupid medals for stuff i didn’t even know i had done, now where’s the fun in that???

I truly hope 343 get an update out oon and fix some of the issues, or it’s back to Reach and 3 for me, (maybe even Borderlands 2)!!!

Haha, i know how you feel. I’m unhappy, frustrated, and bored with Halo 4 already, but kind of in denial about it. This is the first time I’ve felt this way about a Halo game. I suppose that’s why I’m on the forums, because I got too bored playing the game, but still have a Halo craving that needs its fix, so here I am.

> Every game i play in h4 feels the same. Idc if i win or lose now. Theres no heart pumping moments like in halo 1/2/3.

I think loadouts and the game’s pace is to blame for this. The loadouts are to blame because there’s no forced variation in the games and gametypes. Every single game (except slayer pro) lets people spawn and respawn with the exact same loadout in EVERY time. So, no matter the game’s objective, it’s the same thing over and over: You spawn with the same weapons, run really fast to shoot and kill, then die, the repeat it again. And since there’s no weapon spawns on the map, you REALLY never have any variation.

The game’s pace feels just too rushed. Having no respawn time, and the incredibly quick kills make it feel too quick and repetitive. Not to mention that this problem only makes the first problem happen more frequently as well.

I’m at the point where any game I play without a friend I cannot play for very long. I just get bored automatically, regardless of how good it is. I don’t think H4 is boring but it is even heavier on the social aspect than most games, So I haven’t played Matchmaking as much as I’d like. Plus my internet connection has been HORRIBLE, and I can’t play even if I wanted to. Coupled with horrible work hours, and other priorities I’ve only been able to play an hour a day or so. <mark>Save for Tuesday night where I got totally sucked in and played right untill I had to go to work and practically went into a vegetative state at my desk.</mark>

I have heard more than a few say the same sorts of things you all are saying, and after having spent soooo much time playing all the other Halo games, I think that the problem might be that the series itself has gone through such subtle changes over each successive game that the ‘novelty’ of an online Halo experience has just worn off for many players.

There’s nothing wrong with being tired of the game after playing it for seven days nearly non-stop (you know you have). If BF3 or MW2 provided you with 600+ hours of non-stop enjoyment, then consider yourselves fortunate to have been able to spend that much time playing a game you truly liked. Many will have the same experience with this game, no doubt. Again, though, there’s nothing wrong with taking a break, because 343 seems pretty dedicated to changing the playlists and whatnot pretty frequently compared to a lot of other games. You might return in a little while and find many of the current bugs/issues fixed, and get more time out of it.

It seems pretty unreasonable to think that every game will keep you hooked, especially considering the ‘golden age’ of FPS games that we have seen in the last few years. Plus, at least they’re not keeping us playing by just using Pavlovian trickery, like so many other FPS games have in recent years. You know what I mean: <mid match> LEVEL UP!!! <cue guitar riff and bright colors>. Cheers.

Same here i get very bored of it easily, i find my self playing 2 games then just sitting at the main menu for a few hours just talking to friends.
