Also, just two people having an argument in a thread can mean that the thread with a title like “343 why…” stays top for so long and makes the whole forum feel negative and hostile, but when you actually go into the thread 95% of people are going “I actually really enjoy the game”.
IKR if they hate it then just leave halo

Going to have to stop you right there because that is some class-A historical revisionism. Ever since Halo 2, the community has been lambasting new Halo games (and not always for bad reasons.) Did we forget about Halo 2 sucks .com? Did we forget about Chris Butcher, technical lead at Bungie, DIRECTLY SAYING “Even the multiplayer experience for Halo 2 is a pale shadow of what it could and should have been if we had gotten the timing of our schedule right. It’s astounding to me. I -Yoinking!- cannot play Halo 2 multiplayer. I cannot do it.” Halo has never been divorced of hate. Stop kidding yourself.

Worse than what about MCC or H4? The community? The games?

Oh my god, thank you for proving my opinion wrong. I would have been so ignorant without you.

You’re either completely blacking out siginificant parts of Halo history, or you’re attempting to mislead the populace who have. In the former, you need to see a doctor for your amnesia, in the latter, you’re being disengenuous about things a simple google search can disprove.

You know how long it takes to make a dev map? Longer. By this defintion then, more effort went into all of the other “paid” DLC in the past then has gone into the free DLC now. Obvious in retrospect, but this -Yoink- was a critical part of the #SustainPlan. Is 343 not going to front some work to make their awful excuse to release an unfinished game more palatable?

Or it could release with the game at launch. Like every other Halo

You’re not the only one. Hi there. I was exactly the same way (minus the playing the PC ports or reading the books.) In fact, it sounds like you’ve been a Halo fan for longer than I have. Why are you so misinformed then, grandpa?

The question you should have been asking (especially after the MCC) is: “Is this the developer I want my favorite series to be shackled to?”

Hate’s been here since the beta. What did you think this was new? Why do you think I’m an ODST - Onyx? I’m beginning wonder how much of your “hate” would disappear if you knew what you were talking about.

Halo CE and 2 on PC? Reader of the books? Enthusiast of the Xbox before 2013? Played Halo 3 first? Bro, sounds like you’ve got more nostalgia than me.
I get that you’re frustrated. This thread? It won’t help. We get these every week. They never change anything.
Welcome to the party man. I’ve been seeing this happen to alot of games the past few years. People seem to think that since we have the ability to get updates regularly that developers can just wave a wand and make the game perfect for them. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way and to make matters worse the majority of the ones on the forums are those who complain which makes people think that the majority feels that way and that something should be done when in reality the majority is just enjoying the game as is.
Excuse me? Fallout 4 isn’t a real FPS? Please explain your definition of “First Person Shooter”. I’m dying to know.
I’m sure the forum is full of young immature kids who have no concept of the complexity that comes with creating games like this. That being said, leadership at 343 had better start caring about first time quality more. Studios these days are spoiled with the fact that they can release massive “patches” disguised as “content updates” after releasing the game. And dumb leadership at companies will force development teams to get the product out ASAP, regardless of whether it is completely tested or debugged. “Release now and ask for forgiveness later” should not be a phrase anywhere, and especially not in the video game industry.
Yea completely have to agree.

FO4 just doesnt have a multiplayer correct ?
The only reason I come onto halowaypoint now is to just look at my company forums most of the time.
It’s the same thing everywhere my friend. The gaming community is way more competitive than before, when people used to play for fun.
Multiple insults, swearing, players requesting random changes to the game so that they can save their so called majestic stats. It makes me sad: No more split screens, no more LAN’s marathons, no more local tournaments. Man, those were the days! Now we’re just in matchmaking, hoping to get those good old feelings, and getting rekt, again and again.
At least it’s better than the Destiny forums.
It’s simple…if you hate the community, find one you like as this area clearly is not for you. Perhaps try a different game like Mario or Sonic as well.

This. No one should be dissuaded from expressing their criticism just because others are “tired of the hate”—as long as as your criticism is supported, respectful, and intended to identify potential areas of growth for future Halo games. I urge everyone to ignore the real haters, stop feeding the ridiculous “I hate 343” and “halo5sux” posts, and spend your precious time on posts that make a real effort to outline constructive criticism (and yes, they do exists on these forums). That’s where you’ll find rich discussion and a positive community experience.

Halo 5.
Terrible campaign.
Unfinished multiplayer.
Late Forge.
No firefight.
Awesome gameplay.

Ok, your opinion, but yeah some things are silly…
