Its not really fun. You have to sweat your -Yoink- off in arena and if you want to relax, youre stuck playing warzone with 3 maps and most of the game is a running simulator. This game has very little content and if things were so small, I dont think the whole forum would be filled with complaints about how 343 is running this game down the toilet

There were nothing but complaints. Honestly, the community has always complained with every new release. Ever since Halo 2 launched people have gone on about how MS and the devs are killing Halo.

I’m wondering if there’s probably a way to get the forums to be more positive. But with halowaypoint’s “flood” it wouldn’t be that easy. I’d rather try to cleanse the forums before I ever even think about leaving it.

Thats the internet for you. By being able to use a username, people can be as whining and negative as they wish with no fear of actual consequences. Every game community I’ve been to has some form of negativity in it. Some are just worse than others.
I’ve always tried to ignore negativity unless it imo is justified. But sometimes its hard to do. I only visit game forums if I have a legit question or on my breaks at work. Any other time in too busy to be drenched by the negative down pour, or am busy enjoying the games themselves. If I don’t like a game, ill tell my friends and brothers. Thats it. I don’t feel the need to rain on someones parade if they enjoy the game
Watch this forum be the end of halo. And then they use another site to complain about how they stopped making halo. I love halo to a large extent, but these greedy -yoinkers- are just so sad. I mean really, SAD. It hurts my soul seeing so much uneeded negativity. And the main reason it hurts is because it feels like there’s nothing we can do about it.
I feel very satified with the game, i really do and i cant but feel bad when someone who liked it the way i do calls it trash. I hope the game gets better, thats why im still here, and i think the game wont get better unless everyone contributes.
Haters gonna hate. They didn’t have access to forums back when the 1st one was out. The age group is getting younger, and having even more time on their hands. A few bad apples can spoil the batch. The games will always have ups and downs. Some can be fixed some not. It is just a game. Enjoy it to the best of your abilities
It’s all because the community divided itself into two groups, those who support 343 (heretics) and those who want someone else to make Halo games (purists). It’s become an us vs them situation, when it should be we, all of us, working together instead of fighting eachother.
They don’t like the game, whether it’s because they’re bad, they can’t get the hang of it, they’re so set in their ways any deviation from halo 2 seems like sacrelige, whatever the reason, a few of those people come on here to simply complain, all they want is attention and to be heard, they’re literally just trying to spoil your fun because they feel like their fun is spoiled. Best thing to do is just ignore the sourpusses.
Community is fine, otherwise. Forums like these give the trolls far too much attention.

You’re right though someone did need to do it because it’s the truth.
I wouldn’t worry too much OP. Some people can never be pleased. Enjoy the game if you enjoy it and don’t let those that don’t for whatever reason hinder that enjoyment.
I think that this is the most relateable, non-trolling, truthful post on forums that I’ve ever read. Thank you for not being another suggested forum discussion that was full of s***.
Intelligent and constructive criticism should be welcomed be that of the community or the game. Unfortunately, a lot of the time you have to look past the anger to find the root issue. Only way to enact change is to identify and discuss areas in need of change.
