I hate this community

The haters are part of ISIS.

Halo is new to streaming. Other games have guys that stream for a living which brings up the population a bit…

Whenever the Pros get on like Naded, Ninja, and Walshy, Snipedown and others it’s worth hanging out and watching or chatting.

So don’t come on the forums then?

Also, how in the world are the forums ruining your gaming experience? Wouldn’t it be ruining your reading experience? Or your Waypoint experience?

Don’t worry I love you guys who don’t like spewing out pointless hate.

I have no problem with people giving the game constructive criticism, but it seems the community would rather just type out some pointless hate article which doesn’t contribute to the improvement of the game/series.

In return I send them this hate message.

Seems OP is new to the internet. The Halo community hasn’t changed a bit in 10 years. But making a thread whining about whiners is just as annoying as the whining.

Well it’s not specifically just the forums, I’ve been hearing this in pre-game lobbies too and it’s negatively effected the game.

I don’t think I have to explain my self, but a anyways here I go. It just impacts my mental perception on the game. For some reason if they’re no having fun and they’re just ripping the game to shreds it makes the game less enjoyable.

Look at Destiny, it got constructive criticism, got better and then all of a sudden a massive wave of hate hit the game convincing big groups of people to avoid the game.

Similair this happening to Halo 5, but it’s much worse. Populations decrease significantly and there isn’t much of a community to interact with.

Go on YouTube too, tons of hate. It’s everywhere, and when it’s on the forums too that’s not particularly well.

I think a post like the OP is nice to have. I need a variety of themes that don’t always revolve around the current game being trash, you know?

Hm…Are you sure about that? Of course, there’s always hate. But when the hate overwhelms the positive it truly isn’t the greatest.

This generations is most certainly more hateful then the last. Can you not tell the difference? As gaming gets older negativity increases and positivity decreases. I don’t want this to become like the music and movie industry where literally over half of the stuff that gets released is just destroyed by negativity.

Sure there will be some downers, some slops of -Yoink- but hating won’t improve anything.

We aren’t all bad! I deal with much the same as you. It really sucks coming on a forum of a series you love and see many posts and users that have nothing but hate for that series. Alas, it is a sad fact that throwing fits on the internet, whether that person truly feels that way or not, is very popular in this era. Don’t get too down, though. There are lots of us that share your passion for the series and LOVE Halo 5. Just ask and many of us will gladly discuss or even hop into matchmaking with you!

I wouldn’t mind the community so much if most of whiners/complainers actually had fairly valid explanations (and this only happens about… 40% of the time?) and were able to constructively counter any argument in support of 343. Instead, most of the time, I see the OPs of most of those complaining threads more or less overlooking the people who post well thought out arguments because they don’t know how to counteract it. And if they do, they merely rephrase their previous argument, or try to shame those people. Not all of them do, though, and I can respect people who constructively criticize the game. Instead of stuff like “343 ruined halo” or “this game sucks”. Or the worst of them all, “Lol, look at this guy being an apologist”

It’s the change. Many people do not want to accept the change of them trying to meet what is expected from the current gen of FPS. I’m not going to lie and say everything in Halo 5 is an original idea but I think they took has hyped the gamer community and added to the Halo formula and now all these people within the community just will not accept those changes and adapt.

What is love? Baby dont hurt me…

So mute people, or just don’t pay attention. Also, you shouldn’t let others ruin your perception of the game. Does it suck in my opinion? Yeah this is a pretty bad Halo…not the worst mind you, just bad. But that’s from my own perspective. No one on the forums convinced me the game is bad, that’s my own experience. See what I mean?

If the game is fun to you, who cares? Just enjoy it.

Just hang out with friends like what I do, playing video games, especially Halo with my best friends is what keeps us together on the hang-out days. Others shouldn’t deter your from Halo and I totally agree with you OP.

Thankfully I’ve got some buddies to play with. If I need people to play with I will no doubt turn to those who are willing to play for the sake of enjoyment. Those kinds of people are the best!

Every time a new community begins, it eventually has to change one day. For example when Halo CE launched it was a local single player game, but when 2004 came around we got a completely different experience and when new things come old things must eventually go or it gets repeated and boring. Imagine Halo Reach without forge! If Halo 3 didn’t introduce forge or if halo 3 came out earlier than forge might not have come out until maybe years from now.

@OP

There will always be people who complain and hate. If you like the game, then just play it and stop coming on here so much. Not sure why you care so much…

Yes. The hate has always overwhelmed the positive on forums. People who love everything just play the game, they don’t come to a forum to worship it. The people with complaints are the ones who will be here.

This generation is just as negative as the last one. You clearly weren’t around for Halo 3’s release on the Bungie forums. They were figuratively on FIRE over how H3 ruined the series and how every single change was terrible (I actually hate H3 and kinda agreed with some of them but that’s irrelevant). Then it happened again with Reach. Then H4 came and Waypoint nearly burned to the ground over ordnance drops and no descope, etc.

Nothing has changed in the community the entire time I’ve been in it and I’ve been around since CE.

I agree with almost every point made here. Though I always loved Halo 3 :’(
