Halo used to have a great community. Everybody just played the game for what it was and had fun.
I’m having a blast with Halo 5 but every time I come on these forums and see “I hate 343i” or “I’m done with Halo 5” I literally start to -Yoinking!- despise you guys.
This has got be my worst experience with a Halo game. No, not because of its “Disappointing” campaign. Not because of its lack of social playlists. Not because of Warzones lack of quantity. It’s because of you guys. So yeah, I find this to be even worse then MCC or Halo 4.
Halo 5 is a top notch game, I mean look at other shooters. Black ops 3, Hardline, Destiny and Battlefront. Halo 5 is miles better then those shooters. No, it’s not going to be winning any GOTY awards, but really there is no other shooter on current gen that’s on the same level of quality as Halo 5. (And before you say Fallout 4, its not a true FPS).
As for the BTB complaints, I’m beyond confused to why you guys hate the maps. Over 75% of Reachs maps were all forge made, didn’t see anybody complaining back then. Also how exactly is that lazy? You know how damn long it takes to create forge maps of this scale? Trust me, it’s not just a couple days, it could be weeks.
Ok then, let’s say they were to release actual maps that aren’t forge made. This would probably delay btb even further, as it would take longer to make those maps. People would complain either way.
I had to wait 6 years to finally get Halo 3 because I didn’t have a 360 at the time. I’d just play Halo CE or Halo 2 on my PC. I’ve read pretty much most of the books and comics being a big fan. When I finally got a 360 the first game I got was Halo 3, and a couple months after I got Halo 4 and Reach.
I wanted to be part of this community so bad (Trust me the PC community was REALLY small). Hoping that the future of this series may flourish. MCC brought my hopes down, but once Halo 5 released I was really confused towards the hate it was getting. After think over and over to myself, was this really the community I wanted to be part of?
The campaign wasn’t by any means amazing but not nearly as bad as a Cod, Battlefield or Destiny campaign and sure the playlists may be lacking but didn’t Halo 3 have a similair amount of playlists on launch?
So no, I’m not done with this series yet. Hopefully soon all this hate will diminish.
This series is suffering one of the worst, slow, painful deaths. An ironic death where it’s own fans are killing the series by having unrealistically high expectations and fools blinded by their nostalgia aren’t excepting change in anyway or form.
