Before I begin I’m going to go ahead and say that this is not a rant about 343 or Halo 5, but more about me.
To be blunt, I’m trash with this weapon. I don’t know why because when anyone else gets ahold of the M6D they become a god. Me? Well, I become a grunt… It doesn’t make sence because I’m pretty good with any other presision weapon, but not the M6D. Whenever I get one I can get maybe 1 or 2 kills before I get killed. Now every time I find one I’ll just give it to one of my teammates.
My issue is that I miss most of my shots, which I don’t get because of this weapon’s high magnetism and I nail most shots with other presision weapons.
Is anyone else having this issue? Any tips on how to improve?
Here’s a tip, practice with ce. Trust me it helps. I you got a friend then play with them as well to help you improve.
Go play Halo:CE on Legendary and practice that way. That’s how I got good at it. The same goes for the Halo 2 BR: put that weapon in my hands and I suddenly know what I’m doing.

That’s why it received it’s nickname throughout the years as “The God Pistol”.
I pull the trigger for each shot, I don’t hold it down. I also pace my shots and time them, and I don’t spam the trigger.

Do you hate kittens and ice cream too?
Honestly, you just aim for the head. It’s a beastly three shot and should be easier to use than a BR. If you’re having issues, I’d suggest just practicing.
Yeah, steady shots are the way to go, the recoil will get you killed if you spam.

I was about to go off on you when I read the title. Some advice though since you are having some trouble. In this game, I find the CE Pistol a little difficult to use at closer ranges, so I would recommend going for mid-range targets. Also pace the shots and don’t use the automatic feature.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I started with Halo 4
I found the calmer I am with steady shots the better I play, I’d only used it a few times in war zone and btb but when I found it in infection I was forced to play differently with it and realised how to use it better.

Yeah, go play some CE. Play a campaign that’s magical and fun–except for the Library. Pro tip: you can finish hunters off with a single pistol shot to their back.
I like the CE pistol in CE. I don’t have much luck in Halo 5 with it. Kinda like the H2 battle rifle. Kinda meh.

Here’s a tip because I know some people still don’t know this it’s full auto. The only good way to practice is to go hunt hunters in CE since its a little tough to hit a kill shot (when you’re not behind them anyways)
As said above me, play the CE Campaign and use the the M6D as much as you can. If you haven’t used it before, it’s understandable if you’re not the best with it. If you have a friend who plays Halo 5, try 1v1’ing him with the god pistol, it might force you to pace your shots.
