I hate that 343i removed female armor in Halo Infinite!

So I’m playing Halo Infinite and all I see now in customization are just male armor, what the hell happened?

I see only Body Type 0, 1, and 2 and they are all male armor pieces. They all have male cups on.

I remember playing Halo Reach, Halo 4 and Halo 5 and they have distinct female features, especially in the cup and waist area.

This lack of female representation is -Yoink!- me off.
Shows 343i priorities. Everything is all-male armor ONLY!
So if there are female spartans they have to wear male armor?! WTF!

I don’t think it’s that they removed them. This game uses new assets, even for old armor. They just didn’t bother to make them. Meanwhile they acted like this system was going to be the most inclusive ever. This is very bothersome. They’re giving me Todd Howard vibes with some of the things they say.

Also, Type 1 has armor that doesn’t even fit properly :upside_down_face:

I agree they need female body types added to the game. I wouldn’t use them personally but I know a lot of players on here have called for them.

They claimed they took a more “androgynous” approach in the marketing for the game, though I actually suspect that due to their dev cycle being so messy a Jason Schrier put it, that they simply didn’t bother making feminine variants to compliment the current body types we already have.

They are pretending like they are doing this to be more inclusive but in reality they are being even worse by making all the body types look like males. Truth is they didn’t bother putting in the work to model the body type and armor for it. It needs to be added.

I think type 0 is the ‘male’, type 1 is the ‘female’ option and type 2 is the more vague middle option which is pretty true to lore- No one was meant to be able to tell male and female Spartans apart in their armor.

The differences are subtle but there. I guess additional options wouldn’t be the worst idea for player expression but, speaking as a male, I really don’t mind it as it is currently.
