I can not stand Spartan Charge. I personally think it is a cheap way to get a kill. It would definitely be the one thing I take out of this game. Ground pound at least takes a bit of timing to perform, but the Spartan charge gives inferior players a way to kill better players.
Spartan charge reminds me of the super lunge in Modern Warfare 2 where players could kill opponents from way too far away by button mashing or knifing them from approximately a mile away (exaggeration).

SC someone from the side or head on and they kill you with one melee. Catch someone off guard and SC…nothing.
I disagree. While I certainly haven’t figured out how to effectively use it all the time, it adds an element to the game that makes it fast paced. ADS isn’t going to win when moving around a corner because you can get splattered by a sprinting hunk of metal. Just because you get killed by it doesn’t make the player worse than you, it kind of makes them better in that particular situation. And it hardly makes beginner players able to kill more skilled ones, that’s just a ridiculous claim.

Maybe lower the damage… But the thing is, it counts as a regular melee… Cause spartan charge to the back is instant kill, to the front is shields down, just like the regular melee. What doesnt make sense is to the side its an instant kill.

Yeah, I can never seem to nail it I was in the dead or ripe for killing.
I did manage to boost to the side to dodge it once and then melee him in the back. But most of the time i try this, even though it looked like he missed me, i still take damage!

Yes it does actually. LOL i’ve done it a lot. Cause when they charge you, they are knocked back. You have a split second to melee them in the face. If you’re lucky enough, you may have shot him a little bit beforehand and can get an instant kill if you melee him. Drawback with spartan charage is when they boosted backwards from you they are wide open for 2 or 3 seconds.
I’m not a fan of the spartan charge in general, but the only gametype I think it should be removed from is SWAT.

I would just think that they would be spamming their melee button and kill you afterwards
Hell I try and evade out of the way but there’s some type of extra magnetism with melee I swear, I’ll give your method a try lol
I don’t like much, because I can’t do assassinations while I’m running (like in Halo 4)

Theres always a magnetism with melee. It never changed. Yeah pretty sure of it LOL, Its my way of doing it, sometimes it doesn’t work because somehow I’m slow and he shot me right away. Some other times I he gets the shot but I shoot him back really quick. You have to think, he charged me I can just melee him right away LOL. It took me awhile to figure it out. Sometimes though, he can get a second melee to me so gotta watch out for that.

If only spartan charges can lead to assassinations too. Because either way a melee or a spartan charge to the back is an instant kill. Might as well do it in style
Maybe I’m just frustrated because I’ve been playing a lot of swat. People abuse it way too much
Yes this is definitely something i wish could be taken out of the game completely.
It’s by no means OP, but it is annoying and sees more use than it should. I’m not entirely sure of how yet, but I hope it is ironed out by Halo 6.
