I hate Rumble Pro.

Seriously; this gametype sucks. I’ve been waiting for an FFA Infinity Slayer playlist since launch, and when it finally comes, they put in an MLG gametype. Oh, i’ll admit it got a little better after they enabled the Motion Tracker (thus reducing the randomness of it all) but it still sucks.

First, loadouts. All precision weapons is boring in FFA. Resupply and Explosives armor mods means a lot of grenade spamming.

Also, no ordnance; this one of the main reasons I hated Regicide. The lack of weapons on the map made things boring, and random ordnance often insists on giving out Needlers and Scattershots on most maps, which doesn’t help.

What’s worse, the matchmaking system often makes all 3 option Rumble Pro, so I don’t even get the chance to vote for a gametype I like, and that’s when the matchmaker doesn’t stick me in a game of Rumble Pro in-progress.

Infinity Rumble was a nice change of pace; Personal Ordnance meant not only more heavy weapons to play with like SAWs, Railguns, and Concussion Rifles, but it also rewarded you for doing well; as opposed to Regicide, in which you were punished for being the leader with a big waypoint over your head and a huge bounty to go with it.

Just get rid of Rumble Pro; better yet, create a seperate FFA playlist for “Pro” gametypes (Lone Wolves, anyone?), then everyone would be happy. Besides, there are too few FFA playlists as it is. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing a 12-player “Infinity Brawl” playlist, with BTB maps and lots of vehicles.

Rumble Pro doesn’t need its own playlist. If we made a playlist for every gametype variation we would have far too many. If people are constantly voting for Rumble Pro then they obviously enjoy playing it.

As for the rest, Ordnance sucks, maps do need more weapons I can agree there, I can also agree it should never fill all three voting slots, and Automatic spamfests suck.

I also strongly agree that BTB Heavies needs to make a comeback.

Rumble pro really isn’t that “MLG.” It’s pretty much the closest thing to classic we have right now, and I would be very upset if it was gone.

I prefer Rumble Pro because there are no jerks using Jetpack. Jetpack is pretty unbearable in team playlists but in FFA its down right horrible.

Remember when we had Social and Ranked playlists so everyone was happy? Yeah, good times.

I wasn’t referencing BTB Heavies; I was talking about Mythic Brawl, the 12-player FFA hopper from Halo 3’s Double EXP Weekends; basically the FFA equivilant of BTB.

As for Rumble Pro and the voting system; voting it Halo:Reach and Halo 4 has always been biased. The problem is that most people don’t bother to vote; often only two or three people will vote, and the rest usually quit when they realize they got stuck playing a lousy gametype.

Now I remember the one reason I was okay with Halo 3’s busted ranking system…

Rumble Pro is far from MLG.

I like how you talk about randomness but want it to be exclusively Infinity >_>

> First, loadouts. All precision weapons is boring in FFA. Resupply and Explosives armor mods means a lot of grenade spamming.

And all Jetpack AR’s and Camo DMR’s is infuriating FFA. There is no explosives mod if I recall, only Resupply, and that shouldn’t have been a perk, it should have been a basic player trait.

> Also, no ordnance; this one of the main reasons I hated Regicide. The lack of weapons on the map made things boring, and random ordnance often insists on giving out Needlers and Scattershots on most maps, which doesn’t help.

So ask for weapons on the map, not random uncontrollable ordinance.

… ever think that might be because Rumble Pro is a more liked gametype? I personally love it, and playing Infinity Rumble on Shutout is not my cup of tea.

Infinity rumble generally ends up with one guy getting a rocket, the other a needler and the guy with a rocket winning because of luck.

How does infinity reward you for doing well per-se? You could go on a Killing Frenzy, with no deaths, and your opponent could die twenty times and get five kills, but he could get a rocket and you a needler. Not to mention it also rewards camping.

I’d be all for this if it weren’t for the lack of players on this game.

Anyway, this should be posted in Rumble Pit Feedback thread, not Halo 4 section.

The same exact thing can be said for the opposite.

Two people vote for Infinity Rumble, no one else votes, thus Infinity Rumble is picked.

That’s not bias. That’s just people being lazy. Everyone has the equal opportunity to vote for what they want to play.

It’s better than the fiesta we know as infinity slayer.

Wow I don’t even

Welcome to a close “classic” Halo,

<--------- CoD is this way.

Seriously, this is the closest thing we get to a non random, arena-ish gametype, only needs more weapons on map (like older Halos), that’s it.

No more random crap ordnance, perks, AAs flooding my nice skillful (as much as I can get with the magnetism & aim assist) game.

Loving every minute of it.

It’s a great game type, that at least 1000 people play daily. Stop complaining and just have fun.

Why is COD on the right, it should be on the left, because it’s wrong. It’s never right.

fixed it lol

> It’s better than the fiesta we know as infinity slayer.

No, it isn’t. It’s boring as hell. I wouldn’t mind a Rumble Classic gametype, but Rumble Pro is not it. Three things it needs to be a “Classic” gametype:

1. No ‘Explosives’ perk.
2. Automatic weapons in loadouts.
3. Weapons on the map (static weapon spawns, NOT ordnance).

I support Infinity Rumble soley for the fact that it’s more fun than any “Pro” gametype. I’d even take Regicide over this “Pro” garbage.

Some people do not want ordnance, AR, boltshots, or AA, and you have to accept that. There are just as much people who consider Infinity rumble to be garbage as those who do not like pro. The only thing i really support you on is voting. People have always done that and it pisses me off soooooo much.

I personally would take anything over infinity slayer. I enjoy rumble pro quite thoroughly, and I think most people would agree seeing as how 70% (a rough estimate) of the games I play in that playlist is the “Pro” gametype. No boltshot, camo, jetpack, Promethean vision. Get where I’m coming from?

Infinity Slayer is the worst thing that can happen to Halo. Randomness only belongs in Action Sack; not in almost every playlist.

There should only be three Rumble Pit gametypes. The first should be Rumble Pit with AA’s, loadouts, global ordnance, and no POD’s. The second should just be Rumble Pro, and the third should be an objective.

Anything is better than infinity(fiesta). Pro settings should be the default settings.
