I hate being red team on Exile.

I like Exile, but it doesn’t seem balanced to me. Both teams can get to the Scorpion in about the same time, but Blue team has a gauss hog, can get to the rocket launcher faster, and has a base from which you’re pretty save from vehicles. There is no such base for red team.

Blue Team also gets Banshee every time.

> Blue Team also gets Banshee every time.

That’s why I use mobility to rush towards the Banshee if I’m on the red team. If I can tell blue is about to get to it first, I use the ol’ Plasma Pistol/Plasma Nade combo.

Like Sgt. Johnson said, “Deal with it”. lol

If I spawn Blue team and I want the Banshee or Scorpion, I get the one I’m after almost every time. I use the Mongoose.

If I spawn Red team and I want the Banshee, I get it almost every time. I only use Mobility to do it!

If I spawn Red team and I want the Scorpion, I get it every time other than the extremely rare occasion the Gauss snips me. I only use Mobility to do it!

Where Red base spawns at the start of he game is fine and can be defended well, just as the Blue base can be.

The only point I agree with you on is Blue teams ability to get the RL first, on most occasions. However, if one uses Mobility (Red team),runs into the cave in the middle top, crouches, can more often than not kill the approaching Blue team person attempting to get the RL. Then, you collect it!

Eh if the banshee is still there when I get to it then fine I jump in. Best one I’ve seen is someone waiting there in active camo and skyjacking me as soon as I get in.

On topic though. Blue definitely has advantage in slayer because they have the gauss hog. In CTF though I hate playing blue on Exile because red have a mounted turret just above their flag.

And, in CTF, what happened to the turret just above and to the right (looking at Blue base) of the Flag?

As for the AC and skyjacking, I’ve done that on occasions too

The turret at blue is still useful but I’ve just found it a lot easier to get in and get the flag from blue then it is from red.

You can drive ghosts and warthogs right through the area where the turret is, and even fly a banshee through there if the wings have been taken off. I was killed in there tonight by a banshee that was coming through. I’ve never seen a warthog or banshee inside blue base, and not more than one or two ghosts, but I’ve seen them drive through that tunnel where the red turret is many times. Driving vehicles through blue base just isn’t a viable option, but people drive them through the red “base” pretty regularly.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure what the problem was, if any. I agree, the Red turret is better situated.

I say Red Team should get a Rocket Hog.

> I say Red Team should get a Rocket Hog.

I agree.

Why does Blue Team deserve the Gauss Hog, when the Red Team only has the regular mounted chain gun hog? Doesn’t make sense to me.

> I say Red Team should get a Rocket Hog.

You know, I have played way too many games on Exile but, I actually do not know if Red base has one or two Hogs at spawn! I know Blue has the LAAG and Gauss but, does the Red base have two LAAGs? If not, then they should have.

As it is, you could have sixteen people in vehicles (18 if Red had two Hogs) at the start of a match! Potentially, no foot soldiers at all! Actually, there is room for two more players on vehicles but there aren’t that many on each team to start with! You would 9v9 to have all vehicles fully occupied!

So, either we need bigger teams in the next Halo, or less vehicles on a map.

Actually, Blue is easier if you take the turret down the ground and hide behind the structures. Just camp at the flag holding the turret, no one ever seems to expect me sitting there blasting them as they come for the flag.

And then with auto pick up, their fighting a turret with a magnum. So brutal.

Personally I enjoy the challenge, even though the map is clearly unbalanced. Blue and Red are usually equal distant from the Banshee, unless someone has that unlimited sprint mod on.

Also, Red base does kinda suck from Blue base a bit.

I love being on the blue team, but when I’m on the red team… I just try to get as many kills as I can, and I’ll sometimes sneak into the blue base (without active camo) and wait for the gauss to spawn so they can’t get it. The reactions I get when I kill them with “their” warthog are hilarious. But the map is so unbalanced that most of the time my team will still lose.

I just played a game on Exile on the Red Team where we got the Scorpion, Banshee, and Rocket Launcher at the start. But I’ll admit, times like this are pretty rare.

But if you get on the mongoose at the begining of the game when your on red team you can rush their spawn and get a double splatter once every 3 games.

If I spawn on Red team I’ll usually pick my mobility loadout and make a dash for the Scorpion. I’m starting to get good at picking off the Gauss first shot. Otherwise I’ll defend the tank if a teammate beats me to it.

For me it’s all about making the most of a bad situation.
