This community is cancer. I’ve been playing Halo non-stop past week or two. Got Onyx in Arena, going for it in Slayer. And after all that they reset it. The community is cancer. Nobody plays with mics. I remember people getting mad when 1 player doesn’t have a mic. Now when just two have mics we speak to one another on the game as if we are final survivors in an apocalypse. Its just a graveyard. I hate that the competeitive playlist is like this. I feel like I need to voice this because clearly I’m not the only one becoming miserable when playing this game because of that. There must be someway to ban party chats from Arena?
This needs to be heard by 343 anyway. That is certain.
Did you have to say that we’re cancer twice?
That being said it might not be a bad idea to ban party chats. Least then it would possibly help people communicate…but people would complain they dont wanna hear squeakers.
Ban chat is not the solution, there wouldnt be enough bans lol
Maybe searching preference in matchmaking ?
if partychat bans are becoming a thing im ditching my mic. im not in gamechat cause:
- sqeakers
- heavy breathers that dont say a thing
- people with background music
- they are ignorant asf
- they either rage or complain
- or they talk trash all the time
you see, i either talk in partychat with friends or i dont talk at all and instamute everyone cause they are annoying and distracting while not providing/adding any value
They at least need to make the game chat not cause you to lose contact with your fireteam in between games etc. I feel this would go some way to encouraging more to not be in party chat exclusively
If the biggest issue someone has with the game is a lack of teamwork and communication, the answer is not to ban people who use teamwork and communicate in a party, the answer is to make friends or join a group that you know communicates.
You can’t be mad that Rando doesn’t use a mic. Don’t play with Rando if its such a cancerous problem.
The real problem is that there’s a whole new generation of gamers who have come in to gaming and have never heard people on mic socialising and using vocal commands to assist the game. They have come in to console gaming and heard either silence or abuse, so they think that is how you are suppose to act online.
Back during the Halo 2 and 3 days people used mics. We argued with the idiots, then we muted them. But you stayed in chat because there’d be a game where you had either a really polite chatty person who was nice to engage with, and even if you lost it didn’t matter because you enjoyed that aspect of the game. Or you had some serious dudes, well organised and you could co-ordinate with during the game and you won and felt like BAs. Not now. you get this;

Rather than deal with the general annoyances, that happen in real life. People are avoiding it all together. I find it far more annoying to not be able to talk to my teammates. We aren’t playing together, we are just playing in the same game space.
The current situation of in game chat in the result of players hiding and shying away from in game chat. If you want it to be a nice place, go make it one, lead by example.
Nothing wrong with insta-muting. For a lot of people the last thing they wanna do is talk to strangers after talking to strangers all day at work.
Your gaming experience is not their responsibility.
You may be taking the game too seriously of you think that it is.
I hate how 90% of all Warzone games I join just have me on the team that is being base camped.

They can add in a forced game chat, I’ll mute people, take that away, mic gets unplugged and volume goes to 0. You can’t force people to to use game chat, I could list many reasons but in the end people don’t want to use it.
Lol at the dude who says it’s the newer generation that can’t socialize. Look up your average gamers age and call us the newer generation.

Your not going to force me to be taken out of my party of people who I KNOW and WANT to talk to.
Also good luck with getting 343 to tell Microsoft to force people to talk to people they have no idea are

people will either not talk at all, or trashtalk or put on background music to annoy others…

This is a sad, sad, sad truth.
I just rage quit out of my games today. Got banned for an hour. I’m just fuming right now. I really don’t know why I even put myself through this. If Gears or Doom gets good reviews, and god I hope the multiplayers on those games have proper ranks, then I am ditching this game. Halo 5 Arena solo is just bad for one’s health.
I’ve defended this game’s mechanics on a consistent basis too. But I just breathe hate when I begin playing this game.

Well, you didn’t have to rub it in…
when i want to communicate with the outside world i dont talk to randoms i talk to my spartan company.
p.s. liar you’ve been playing for more than a few weeks as by your rank and armor.
