I had high hopes

I took joy in Halo Wars, Command and Conquer and Supreme Commander. All three I have played on console with the last also on computer. The Biggest annoyance I have seen isn’t match times or even multiplayer issues. The units. The units make me feel like I cant control a massive wonderful army, in fact you can control 10 less marine units than in the first game even with a doubled unit cap… Why?? Its like they have turned a great thing like command and conquer 3 into 4 and then its like I cant have much of anything because all the units require an amount of the unit cap that just makes me feel depressed over the ability to assault any enemy. Seriously, the things I saw wonderful about the two other games above that I came to love is the creation of units with very little limitation. Supreme commander blows it out of the water with a 500 unit cap (enough to cause my game when I speed it up to +10 ends up becoming -5 because of all the units). I am not asking for a unit cap of 500. But if you’re going to give us 60, then why is our basic unit 3 pop-cap? It immediately made me dislike it. I pushed on though. Once my partner was either kicked out or left the game, I noticed that the creation of anything is very slow paced (even in comparison to SC which had a literal timer that could have been 12 minutes) for something that isn’t all that great. The units felt slow and labored. This isn’t dark souls where the characters need to look like the world and situation is bearing down on them, with their possible death lingering on their shoulders… Though that is quite an exaggeration it felt like good exposition to paint the picture that I perceived. The art style was nice though but I can only see it helping in the weight that all the units seem to carry.
