Hello Spartans today I am here to discuss a dream I had about a different Lock than the lock that we have (This dream requires that the campaign of Halo 5 did not happen and the end of Halo escalation did not happen) In my dream lock is a silent Oni assassin who wears the hunter armor that he has but it is entirely black and it has a red visor. He is a slasher villan esque character who seemingly can not be killed and he is not apart of fireteam Osiris (The leader of fireteam Osiris without is Edward Buck and Spartan Thorne replaces Lock on the team). The word Lock in my dream is a code name to hide his identity which is unknown to the player. He would be the main villain of Halo 5 and his objective is to capture if possible and if not kill Master Chief…( Halsey in this dream is still with Jul Mdama, yes he is alive) The reason in this dream that the master chief goes rouge is because he believes that Catherine Halsey can repair a Cortana fragment that chief believe is within the remains of the cortana matrix chip (Remember the one we saw in the trailer that never went into the main game?) In this dream members of blue team have heard John talk to the chip in secret (Master Chief is starting to lose it a little). The reason that Oni section 3 want Chief captured or killed Is because they have data from his last psychological exam suggesting that he has a form of PTSD from years of war and from the death of Cortana (Yes she is ACTUALLY dead in the dream, but Chief thinks she is alive) and an Attack on a human alien peace talk has placed chief and blue team at the scene of the attack, members of Oni have decided that it would be better to take chief down in secret instead of letting him ruin his legacy and his public status as “The savior of the human race”.
Firetam Osiris’s purpose in this dream is to find chief as well upon orders from Captain Lasky and Commander Palmer, although unbeknownst to them Oni has already sent their top assassin (who underwent Spartan augmentation ) hunting master chief.
Although this was just a dream and it is the bones of a story. However who thinks that this is WAY better than the halo 5 campaign.

No, I did not mean to base a campaign off of a dream and some sections I had to make up while writing the OP, like master chief slowly going insane and lock being similar to a slasher villain. And I was just thinking about how halo 5s campaign could have been done.

I had a dream about an assassination where you twist the victim’s neck three times so the head goes the whole 360 degrees. I’m calling it “rotation snap.”
An interesting take on the well-done Hunt the Truth campaign that suggested a deeper conflict between Chief and Locke.
I’m not sure if it would have truly been a “better” story than what we got in Halo 5, and it certainly would need some tweaking to make sure thee scenario were fleshed out and all characters were represented fairly, but it’s an interesting idea. Might have made for a decent story.

Well yes and no most of It I had dreamed but some sections I had created while writing the OP such as chief starting to go mad and the reason ONI wanted to capture Chief and such

Yep, stuff in dreams can be real different than real life sometimes. I know this from experiance, and I’m sure others have as well. Still, pretty interesting concept. Much like what some of the old trailers had shown us before playing the final game.
