I cant even begin to describe my disdain for leveling and challenges. You already dont give enough challenge swaps while at the same time having challenges based on game mode. Last spartan standing is infuriating. Why is it nessacry to force game modes on players? I hate free for all so I hate last spartan standing and rumble pit. Yet I keep getting “kill x amount of spartans in rumble put”. NO! “Get 5 melee kills in last spartan standing”. NO! Im an adult who has to work an has limited time to play. Yet all week i have to play last spartan standing because you locked the armor behind the event. Im constantly out of challenge swaps because of rumble pit challenges. Stop trying to force me to play game modes i dont want to. Stop putting unlocks behind a particular game mode. At least let us have an option to opt out of challenges for certain game modes. Its to the point im not even going to get the unlocks for the event because the level of frustration is not worth it.
FFA isn’t my jam either… but LSS is warming on me. I actually played a couple of games this week for fun! But if it really isn’t your cup of tea - at least it’s only a short term event.
If you must have the rewards though - make sure you pool the challenges together so you can do them all at once. That way you can knock off the armour list in 4-5 games.
The melee challenges in LSS are actually very simple. The disruptor sets you up beautifully for trading your opponent with a melee. If they are doing the similar challenge you are literally killing two birds with one stone.
The Rumble Pit is actually a lot of fun - even if traditional FFA isn’t your thing - with Vampire Ball and Ninja Swords etc. And it’s really not hard to chalk up 15+ kills a match. So at least you only have to dip your toes in for one game.
Don’t get me wrong… I’m going to struggle with the inevitable events for things like Infection and Grifball. But they are events. And fans of those games deserve their turn in the spotlight. If you really don’t like them - or the rewards aren’t worth it - just chill and play what you want to play.

343 has taken the game in the wrong direction and given the feedback going on a year now about how they designed the challenge system, I don’t understand why they are pretending “they are listening” when their actions show otherwise.
Seriously, games are supposed to be designed for players to enjoy the experience playing whatever game so I don’t understand 343’s flawed logic of trying to over control how players play the game. In the long run, what have they really gotten out of all this other then players complaining that I’ve been watching for almost a year now that shows how 343 is literally ignoring the legit feedback.
Well, unless you do have a magnum to your head, you don’t have to.
However, that is different than being highly compelled to get a reward. Last week, I only played to finish the BP. This week, I’m going for the ultimate.
