I Guess this Means no H2A...

Well, Microsoft’s E3 2013 Conference has come to a close, and Halo (likely 5) is coming next year. This pretty much guarantees that Halo 2: Anniversary will not happen, at least not for the 10 year edition. Microsoft doesn’t like to compete with itself when it comes to its own IPs, so H2A will not happen next year. Would you rather have a rushed Halo 5, or a clean H2A?

Since Halo 5 is probably going to be just as bad, if not worse, than Halo 4, I’d prefer H2A. I’m certainly not purchasing the Xbox Done now.

yeah there’s really no way i’ll be purchasing the xbone

even with an h2 remake which would probably be the highest-priority exclusive possible i’m still not overpaying for some bullcrap

i’ll probably keep my 360 with no subscription and play h2 xbc lol (ps4 already pre-ordered in full)

While bs angel and Frankie both confirmed that Halo 2 Anniversary wasn’t being made at this time, they both said currently, so it could still happen, but with Halo Xbox One coming out next year, it seems quite unlikely that they would release two games in the same year with the time available, or even have enough time to work on it. Yet, then again, Halo: CEA didn’t take too long to make (as far as I know), so there still is a chance, but for now, it’s unknown, but plausibly unlikely.

But if Halo 2 Anniversary doesn’t happen at all, I would understand, and be OK with it. 343 was working on Halo 4, and now Halo Xbox One, and thus, may not have time to work on it. They have discussed doing Halo 2 Anniversary, but due to the time and schedule that they have, they may not be able to get to it, but I would be OK with that. The thing though is that I just can’t see Halo Xbox One and Halo 2 Anniversary being released next year unless they release them at different times, like with Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST, yet it feels very unlikely to me, but anything can happen.

But no matter what happens, I’ll still be happy in the end. I think 343 is doing a fabulous job with Halo, and I look forward to Halo Xbox One, and to what they do next in general, whether Halo 2 Anniversary happens or not, and who know, maybe they will do it and release it next year along side Halo Xbox One.

Actually, I would be fine with them doing it and releasing it after 2014, if it comes to that. I mean, it didn’t seem likely that Halo 2 Anniversary would release on November 9, 2014 to me anyways, because it’s a Sunday, and games aren’t usually released on Sundays.

In the end, we’ll just have to wait and see.
