i didnt wait until limited edition was released and got the standard version because i was unpatient but does it really matter? will i be losing anything good?
Lets see.
The Limited Edition is exactly 30$ more than the Standard. With it you get:
Exactly 30$ worth of prepayed map packs to download when they are released (already worth it).
AND
Special Edition Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn video FREE
Introduction to the Infinity booklet FREE
Unique Spartan IV Skin FREE
Unique Spartan IV Armor FREE
Unique Assault Rifle Weapon Skin FREE
Unique Player Emblem FREE
Fancy Steel Game Case FREE
And I think there was one or two more things I forgot.
I for one am getting limited. It’s the first completely worthwhile Limited Edition I’ve ever seen, because it’s impossible to debate whether or not you get your money’s worth. You pay 70$ for the game, 30$ for the free map packs, and everything else is completely free add ons.
If you really want the Limited, just cancel your pre-order, and upgrade it.
Just because I like to play CoD, doesn’t make me a loser.
People who bash cod like that, though, are kinda worse than losers.
I’m getting the LE because I think it is a better deal.
you forgot 6 free Specializations and some Xbox Avatar items.
x3 map pack,
6 early Specializations unlock,
UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet,
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Special Edition,
Spartan-IV armor skin,
unique in-game weapon skin for the Assault Rifle,
an exclusive in-game emblem,
Xbox LIVE Avatar prop,
and Xbox LIVE Avatar Spartan IV armor set.
Thats about it.
If you already preordered the standard edition, I’m sure the store you ordered it from will switch it for you. GameStop switched the $5 that I put on the standard edition of Halo 4 (waaaaaay back last year when Halo 4 was first announced) to the Limited Edition.
And to answer your question: You technically won’t be “missing” anything since everything that comes in the LE can be bought from the marketplace when the time comes, but at a higher price of course.
So if I pre-ordered the Standard edition, can I upgrade to a Limited edition pre-order?
I also pre ordered the standard edition the second it was possible. Don’t worry its not a big deal, just go to gamestop (if thats where you preordered it) and tell them you want the limited edition. What they will probably do is move your $5 preorder to the limited edition and ask for $20 more dollars due to its price. Its no big deal, you can still get the LE.
I’m gonna do the same thing
I just want to be able to preorder the limited edition for international.
Not yet, though. Darn.
I’m getting Limited Edition because I wanna see those 90 mins.
> So if I pre-ordered the Standard edition, can I upgrade to a Limited edition pre-order?
Yes, you can just go in and tell them you already pre-ordered the standard and say you wanted to transfer to the limited edition. Thats what i did, and i ended up being the first person to pre-order/pay in full for the Limited Edition at that paticular Gamestop my friend was second

Depending on the retailer and the method of payment, you could always upgrade if you wanted.

Normally games are 70$ here. $69.99 +tax.
I’m getting Limited edition.
Most places allow for you to switch copies. I went to Gamestop when the Limited was released. It wasn’t in their system yet, so I secured a standard copy. They said call them every so often and when Limited is in the system that I can come and switch.

Nope. Even in Canada it is $59.99. Our prices are the exact same as yours. For games.

Alright, so what about that currency in England? I heard it’s very cheap there…

No clue. But it should be roughly the same price, just in a different currency.
