I got perma banned

Okay so this was a while ago but I really need to get my account unbanned! I let my friend play on my account and they but some tag on there and went into matchmaking and the next day it said I was banned…

Please help

The banhammer is all an automated process, 343 does not ban or unban people themselves. Even if the system wasn’t automated, the only current support for Reach is server upkeep. I would suggest reading the stickied thread titled “Why Did I Get Banned” posted by total sellout, this will clear any confusion you may still have about the Reach ban system.

In short Dylan they probably modified your gamertag and any modding is against the rules. Your "friend " owes you a new XBL subscription and if he did it on your console that will be banned too so he owes you one of them as well. These bans have never and will never be reversed by 343 or Microsoft.

Good afternoon.

Looking at your Halo: Reach stats, your friend did not use your profile to play any games on Halo: Reach, as your last game recorded was 01-29-2014, so he did not log onto Halo: Reach with your account. Your friend did something on your account to break Xbox LIVE Terms of Service, or had something on his Xbox 360 that violated Terms of Service, and it was picked up by Microsoft upon logging into your account. I don’t mean this to be rude, but it is your responsibility by the rules of XBox LIVE to take care of your account; it’s kinds of like account ownership. It is your responsibility to make sure your account stays safe and that nobody else accesses it. If your friend accessed it, in Microsoft’s eyes, that is still your fault and your responsibility, hence you suffer any consequences that happen thereafter.

If he says he modified your tag, he lied, the game history doesn’t lie. Proof and more proof. He definately did something with your account he shouldn’t have however. I would say consulting this ‘friend’ s parents if he is under 18 as your are entitled to some XBox LIVE gold from him on a new account. If he is over 18, then you need to talk to him about it. Your ban unfortunately cannot be reversed.

I hope this helps and have a nice day now.
