I bought my brother halo reach for Christmas. It was a given to me as a code through email and I sent it to him. When he used it, it unlocked it for him, however he can not access the game at all. Its saying its a DLC for MCC but that can’t be correct as I know on pc you can play without anything else. Is this a bug, or a stupid -Yoink- design to make you pay an extra $50 just to play the remaster. A quick response would be appreciated, hes pretty bummed.

Sorry that your brother is having this issue. Halo Reach is indeed an add on to the MCC. Unfortunately at this time he would only be able to play it if he got the MCC Launcher which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Alternatively you could get him the Xbox 360 version of Halo Reach and because of the backwards capability, he could play that with no problem. Sorry for your inconvenience.

Reach is DLC content, but you don’t need to buy the entire collection. The only thing he needs is the MCC launcher so he can play Reach.
