I got de ranked but I didn't do anything

Hello

what happened was that I got the free xbox live, then redeemed a 2 day gold xbox live. I played as a default spartan, but in the armory, I was able to see my normal skin. After my gold, it was saying something like “do you want to go online?” and so I said yes, but I lost a lot of my ranking and my stuff on my skin. Can you halp me?? I was a lietenant colonel, then a seargent!!

Reach gives you more credits for playing campaign and firefight modes offline than playing them online. When you go online, the game resets you to the total you would have earned if you were playing online the entire time. You’ve done nothing wrong, and you aren’t being punished for anything. Its just how it is.

Whatever rank, credits, armor u get offline, you will have to forfiet them so you can play online. Trust me, first time i did it, I was pissed.

i’ve had this problem too.
i thought it was really annoying, but found the solution later, too.
i just hope these things will be explained better in halo 4.

I remember having this happen 2 me when I was DL’ing DLC, but I only got a blank dialogue box with the options, said no & got disconnected, so I said yes the 2nd time, figured it was the cause… Which sucked completely as I didn’t know it meant I’d get next 2 none in cRs, as I only play offline, as we have no nets @ home (long story short, I have get the wiring fixed 2 do so, just sux having 2 transport the XBox elsewhere 2 collect any DLC I’m after).

My work around, so I can have my shiny armor back, I created another profile & I use that 2 play, forge maps, system link, etc… My ‘Ares’ profile (went with it cause 1st in the queue when the 360 is powered up) is currently a Lt Col & I have my old armor back, my XBL acc is just used 2 get my DLC 4 games now.

The game only lets you take up to 15,000cR online, anything more gets removed.
