I got booted for betraying someone in splitscreen!

So there I was, playing Halo CE BTB with 4 people on my TV. I won’t say we were fully sober, but I will say we were having a decent amount of fun. However, the game abruptly (and I mean abruptly) ended when I splattered my friend in a ghost.

Why is that a thing? Is betrayal booting not real in Halo MCC anymore? Does the game just automatically kick you? I find it a bit ridiculous that I can be booted, without the option to forgive, and when it’s a betrayal on my own freaking friend that is playing splitscreen with me.

I can show you the Xbox DVR clip if you need. We went to Theater to confirm that it was indeed my friend.

Before there was no betrayal booting in Halo CE, which caused a lot of griefing. It looks like they retrofitted CE with a no nonsense boot bot that kicks you out if you betray someone. Sorry mate, but that’s the way they did it.

Leave it to 343 to botch things up with something that makes NO sense whatsoever.
