I have been playing Team Doubles and during games it kick me out to the main menu or sometimes when i find a game i find myself in the Main Menu. The game tells me there has been a change in my fireteam. I search again and again im in the menu… well i kept searching and getting kicked until it banned me. I have never quit a game and im banned cus the servers are trash.
All this time i thought people who complained were lying that the game kicked them out until today
it is trash, they need to fix the whole game… if the campaign and split screen so people can play it with multiplayer… i cant believe it was scored 10/10 or 9/10
I haven’t had a single server issue that wasn’t my, or my internet’s, fault. Even then it was rare.
Why can’t Halo 5 at least try to re-connect you to the server. In CS:GO if you disconnect, the game tries to re-connect you for 25 or so seconds before auto-disconnecting you.
This happened to me as well. I have played every Halo game online except for the Halo Wars. I never cheated. I never afk or quit, except rare circumstances of a personal emergency (like once a year and it BETTER be an emergency!) Since I am a grown woman, I can give 2 yoinkety-yoinks about my status, as long as I have fun and am not getting “curb-stomped”.
I can play Destiny, Elder Scrolls, even the botch job that is the BC Halo Reach with NO SERVER ISSUES! I get disconnected from Halo 5 a bit, ESPECIALLY from Forge! O_o
So, about 3 weeks ago, I was trying to play a few games in Warzone, kept getting disconnected. Then a knock at the door and the dogs go bananas. I had to drop what I was doing to answer, as I was the only person home. 4 minutes later, the game had me at the disconnected screen. Also, had me on a 1 hour 35 minute ban (as in what?).
Seriously? I have never had a quit ban before in my LIFE. I am really over this effed-up side arm of Microsoft, they have slowly killed my love of the game, by killing the game.

Why doesn’t Halo 5 do that… If it disconnects and tries to reconnect for you and fails, it would know that you disconnected because of bad internet connection and not the player actually disconnected his modem because he is losing. Thus the player would not be ban because the game knows you have a bad connection. 343 do this!! It will save players and my headache from always seeing these posts will be alleviated.

There is join in progress in this game, you CAN DROP OUT OF FORGE AND CUSTOM GAMES DUE TO ‘DEDICATED SERVER ISSUES’ and yet you can get banned because the system RUINS YOUR EXPERIENCE and the ban just RUINS YOUR EXPERIENCE FURTHER.
Honestly why does Halo have bans? This isn’t a championship league or real sports. Other games don’t have bans as people can come and go as they please AND CAN TEND TO IMPORTANT THINGS IN REALITY without getting banned (after 5 seconds of inactivity).
I’m yet to get banned, I never quit a game before but I’ve dropped out of my own forge session and about 2 Warzone games so far…
Reasons why there shouldn’t be bans anyway…
- 343’s servers are kind of rubbish
- Not everyone has perfect internet + ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN (shocked people deny this point, IT IS COMMON-SENSE)
- It is just a video game. Why would you get banned from a video game?! “Here pay $100 and get banned from playing your game”.
TIP: For all you retail store disc owners who would go to the extreme and want to trade the game in over this ridiculousness, phone your retailer and tell them your copy doesn’t work or make up believable rubbish so you can at least get all your money back. If you bought it from MS well… Uhh good luck convincing them!
Ive been playing halo since forever and this is the first time this happened to me. i really thought the people who posted saying the servers sucked were just angry cus they quit and got banned.
i have had a number of occasions where the internet connection/server… whatever… has booted me back to the menus but have not been banned yet
happened 5 times in a row once but thats not my fault i have best internet connection possible in my area
i still get alot of games where others are glitching around and hard to kill… there one minute and gone the next its frustrating but still the fun outweighs the glitching

Are you banned because servers are trash? or because you don’t know what you’re doing when it comes to networking?
Who is your ISP? what’s your bandwidth? have any packet loss? are you using port forwarding? do you have multiple xbox 1’s on the same internet connection? Have you considered any of these issues? or are you just gonna stick with “I blame the servers”?
…because i haven’t had any issues, I haven’t been banned, and I don’t have welfare internet…

Because people think it’s okay to quit a game just because (insert non-sense reason for quitting here), and ruin the game for the rest of the players in the game

Of course he hasn’t done any of these things. His Isp told him his internet was perfect. Meanwhile I play on a 6Mb down, 1Mb up and have zero issues.

Yea this is the first time it has done that to me. Everything was perfect before so idk why it was doing that. Battlefield servers never do that to me and they run with 64 players at a time.
Maybe i over reacted in my title because these people are replying with essays.
gettting dropped to menu is the worst. my brother in law and i were playing all week and he got dropped several times during matchmaking
Well your ban should be over by the time they fix them so don’t worry. It’s not like you would have been able to play anyways.

Well if this is the first I’d wait it out. As far as I know there’s never been a perfect server in video games and sometimes a server needs maintenance and worked on to get fixed. There’s also the possibility that it could be your internet acting up as well. My internet is great most of the time but here and there it’ll have it’s bad days.

It wasn’t this way at the games launch. I had no lag at all and I have a bad connection in my basement but I never had lag but now I occasionally experience game breaking lag and In every game I get small amounts of lag.
Welcome to my world. I always get kicked out of games and they count as DNF’s. I’m wired directly to my Asus RT-AC68u and have a download speed of 28 mpbs and an upload of 7 mpbs. It is not your connection that is the issue. I have never been kicked out of any other online game before. It’s such BS when you use your legendary boost and get kicked out of a game when you’re about to win and get banned for it without being able to do anything about it.

For the rest of us, if Xbox live is working and claims we have a strong singal and we still get booted, it’s logical to assume the err is on the side of 343i’s servers.
