I really wanted this game to suceed but I can’t continue to invest my time in it. The game has so much potential yet is managed by some amateurs. You really want this game to suceed is simple stop cattering to the hardcore and put some emphasis on the casuals. The majority of casual players don’t like using the -Yoinking!- pistol, it should be apparent already since 343 most likely see the stats of all weapons. The pistol is so powerful that makes player have to use it to be able to compete. This doesn’t sit well with most casual players since is already bad enough that I can’t choose my load out. You have enough precision weapons at it is, the BR and DMR are good enough but a pistol overpowering an assault rifle is just blasphemy! there’s a reason why our service members get issue an assault rifle instead of a pistol. I can’t wait for TitanFall 2 or a decent fps to hit the streets.

then this isnt the game for you.
Halo was never about load outs, and it shouldnt be. It is an arena shooter. Its not that its so much catering to the hardcore. It is catering to the class of FPS it is.
This is a fps game. Give people load outs in standard games would cause unfair balance in game mides. Besides its going back to its roots. Everyone starts the game the same.
This is probably the best Halo when it comes to weapon balance. Yeah the pistol seems powerful but you just have to be good and realize what weapon to use in each situation depending on the range and scenario you are in.

Well, H4 emphasized on the casuals and look how well that game turned out. The majority of FPS’ on console caters to the casuals. I’m so glad H5 is the way it is, because I can finally have a game that has a noticeable skill gap, just like in CE-3. All the weapons are viable in this game, you just have to learn when you use it.

Im sorry but this game is great for casual players. TTK is way down. I remember the days of Halo 2 standing top mid with the battle rifle all game and noone being able to touch me because the skill gap was so high. Now If i stand top mid ill get gunned down by an assault rifle from the far side of the map.
If anything, please increase the skill gap 343.
And for you Hav0k, before quitting because your frustrated, try to focus on things to improve your game and practise on them.

The pistol isn’t overpowered, OP. Apparently you really stink at the game, even worse than me. Most players can’t get more casual than I am, and I absolutely love it. So have fun with Titanfall 2 and it’s 7 weapons that you can spray and pray with. And how do our service members have anything to do with a space marine game?! AND I’m fairly certain they get issued an AR along with a pistol, so shut up.

I feel like you’re doing something wrong. I am pretty bad with pistol (good with br, dmr and carbine). In general I drop my pistol when I can for better weapon - but I use my AR usually off the spawn. You need to not to head on encounters vs pistol players - flank and catch them off guard and get into AR beatdown range. Don’t get into mid range shoot outs with pistol users - sometimes it’s better to just turn around and find a teammate than fighting that pistol guy 1 v 1.
That said - I hate the pistol. I have to mess with my sensitivity to use it properly compared to other precision weapons.
I don’t see the pistol as OP. Also the AR is actually good in Halo 5. It can compete with the pistol in most mid/close range engagements. Sounds like it’s not the games fault you’re bad at halo though…just saying. You’re just projecting your frustration.

makes no sense. It was made by the same ppl

I think so as well. The AR has actually never been more useful than now. It was virtually worthless in past games.
Soon as I read loadouts your argument became invalid to me. Get that cod mechanic outta my halo pls thanks.
I think its great just the way it is, if OP could explain how they dont carter to casuals i want to hear, im casual and i love it, just saying.
loadouts? no pistol at start? have you ever played an other halo game? lol Halo was never a casual friendly game. It has always been on the tryhard side. social playlists arent for casual players to congregate and be happy together. They were really for warming up before you got into a ranked match. eventually they did make some fun gametypes like infection and griffball that were hilarious, but social playlists were not for just standing still and shooting people. social playlists still have objectives and if a game has an objective, people are going to try to win.
You are welcome to like and dislike what you want but as everyone else has said this is an FPS. Plus if you struggle with something that is good! Struggling with something means you get to learn and improve. I don’t get why everyone wants everything so darn easy. If things are easy, you never get to improve or learn to be flexible. Being able to go with change is a good thing. Everyone wanting things easy and games catering to them is usually why I stop playing a game. If there is no challenge it isn’t worth it.
Classic Halo has always never had loadouts and its better that way. Go play Halo 4 or CoD.

You my friend get it. All these casuals make my head hurt…
I don’t know about everyone else but unlike the OP when I play halo, I play to win. I don’t play to Role Play and show off my spartan gear/skins. People now a days are so afraid of “Ranked” playlists…for what reason? You play casual playlists and attempt to win, the only difference is in ranked you receive a rating/rank.
I’m honestly done with these stupid OP’s of people complaining the game is bad, when in reality the player is bad.
Halo was never designed for causals, if MP or Forge is to hard play campaign or a different Halo.
Campaign should be designed around Lore Fans because they play and appreciate it more
MP should be designed around Hardcore MP fans because they will play it more than casuals will
Forge should be designed for Hardcore Forgers because they will spend more time building maps than casuals will
I’m personally a casual Multiplayer and Forge fan and a Hardcore Lore fan, but even I accept that sacrifices need to be made.

Self improvement is a major reason I like Halo, if someone beats me in a gun duel I can easily see what the other player did right and learn from them, same can be applied to forge and campaign.
