I get why Covie vehicles aren't purple!

I don’t know if I’m the first to think of this, but it just hit me.

The Ghost and other ‘Covenant’ vehicles are blue instead of purple because technically, the Covenant we’re fighting in Halo 4 aren’t a part of the actual Covenant; they’re a splinter faction (as has already been confirmed). Much like the Separatists dyed their phantoms green in Halo 3, this explains why the covenant vehicles are blue in Halo 4 (and have green antigravity glows).

Makes sense! I hadn’t thought of it that way, nice observations!

Hmm? The Ghost is purple, it’s just a dark, Wraith shade of purple. (Well, more of a Violet in that case) The lights are green though, and it does look really weird.

Ghosts and Banshees are blue!?

  • searches Google, and Ghosts are blue. Banshees still look purple kinda. somebody has nice eyes

didn’t see it was confirmed. HOWEVER, it does explain why Zealot Elites look like Spec Ops Elites and why Minors carry Energy Swords and also explains why Phantoms are like that.

Enlightening.

Different colours for different factions should have been obvious to me after Halo 3. I think the Ghost looks even more menacing being darker too. ^^

I love the beautiful midnight blue Ghost! <4

Imma get one as a pet and name it Midnight!

Blue looks better, new trilogy and new colours ^^
Wait until you see Halo 7, I hear the ghosts will be Red and the banshees Orange (just kidding) ^^
Jokes a side, I think the new blue ghost looks even better, more smooth and deadly, and while I wouldn’t mind a blue banshee, purple is fine too. Maybe to make it easier to new players?
Blue = ground, purple = air. I remember back in Halo CE how mad I was when I couldn’t get my ghost to fly although I though I saw AI flying ghosts (banshees) ^^

I’m gonna be honest with you I just figured this from the start.

Cool, but what’s with the Covies having a splinter faction if humanity had a truce with them?

Heretics had orange banshees hehe. I sort of hope the heretic and their vehicles make a cameo appearance in Halo 4. That’d be pretty cool.

As far as I know, only most of the elites had a truce with the humans. I’m pretty sure the rest of the covenant still hates the elites and humans.

Some Elites came to the conclusion that Humanity would just try to kick them while they were down (which Oni was actually going to do), so they built up a military to fight back.

Well I’m sorry Teh Spearhead I’ve hardly been following Halo 4 news. xD

Man, that’s sad. Hope it didn’t take long to figure that out.
I remember we plugged a third controller into the xbox because the Warthog had three seats, but it was only a two player coop thing. We were four brothers with one xbox back then, btw. Ah…good times.

Good enough explanation.

Course ONI doesn’t represent humanity as a whole. And really, I think humans would be more than justified in their hesitation about the Elites.
