I found out how the grunt mech came to be in lore!

Well sort of…
This is just sorta theory. But nonetheless:
When I was bored while waiting for my friend to stop being afk(c), I started listening to the old data intels from campaign.
Well, one of the recording series is about a grunt trying to find a super weapon. In one the grunt talks about the weapon being big enough to smash the arbiter.
I believe that (lorewise), that grunt found his super weapon and became the grunt goblin.
Again, just theory, not exactly official I think, so it’s good enough I guess.
Any thoughts, comments, etc…?

Edit: Ok, so I missed the canon fodder, so there goes my theory I guess, but it was a good try.

Officially, it sounds like most of the grunts have allied themselves with Cortana, and in return, she spiced up their tech.

I honestly couldn’t care less about the lore in this situation. I mean…Of course i do, but i feel like with new bosses being made, one of which is a FRIGGIN MECH SO NOW I CAN FULFILL MY DREAM OF FIGHTING A MECH IN A MECH BY BEATING THE -Yoink- OUT OF IT WITH A MANTIS…I’m just glad it’s happening

Good theory OP. In my play through i did notice this grunt vlog but almist forgot about it as of now so I didnt notice. But I think the grunt you are talking about died while exploring… I am not sure about this. I will confirm this in a few hours from now. And as for the guy above me. Your theory seems most likely given the recent canon fodder did talk about it.

If the Covenant intercepted our TV shows and thought they were real they would be both terrified of us and want to wipe us out just to make the galaxy a better place at the same time!

I meen, it’s weird and confusing and all because she used to help the green guy be mean to us, then she was mean to the green guy, then nice to us… I don’t know, she’s definitely the most confusing blue lady I’ve seen – I mean, she’s really the ONLY one I’ve seen, but whatevers.”

Prepare to be sorely dissapointed. I rock in a Mantis. Also i feel like 6 mantises vs 1 giant grunt isn’t gonna be hard. XD
