I was just playing a custom game on Halo 2: Anniversary’s multiplayer map Zenith when I saw one of the landmasses looked a bit like Italy, upon further inspection I realized it was an identical copy of it.

… wait, maybe that’s where the Assassin’s Creed 2 Vatican is located … that would explain all of that weird alien tech underneath the place … there’s a super conspiracy here … Maybe the Animus transports you to a Halo ring … all those ancient structures on Installation 05 …

Whoa. Those cooky Forerunners. And yeah, for some reason I kinda headcannoned it awhile back that the AC First Civ and the Forerunners are one and the same. ONI is headed by the 26th century Templars, which could explain quite a lot.

I don’t know how I feel about this. Be cool. Yet bad at the same time. It’s bad enough that Humanity’s actions are controlled by a council of AI, as stated by hidden data pads on halo reach

I never noticed that and I have found myself gazing on zenith all the time.
