I found an easy way to get That Just Happened!!!

I learned this trick from a guy on Bnet, who tested it and it worked for him. So then I just tried it myself, and was shocked that it actually did work. You can check my achievements, it’s legit.

  1. Load up The Library on Heroic with Bandanna (Boom skull makes things 10x worse… don’t use that)
  2. Every time you get a checkpoint, save and quit. It doesn’t necessarily have to be every time, just before parts you think you might die. After you save and quit, just resume your game.
  3. If you die, then immediately hit the guide button and hit Y, which takes you back to the dashboard
  4. Go back to Anniversary and load your game
  5. You should be back at the last checkpoint in which you saved and quit, with no record of your death.

Whabam. In my attempt, I died twice (dang rocket Flood…) and still got the achievement. I’m not sure exactly why this works, either because you didn’t respawn or the game just never saved any record of anything past your last save and quit. So yeah, good luck.

What about pressing X to sign out then dismissing the guide with B?

I used to do that with my Halo 3 game saves so I could replay them. If it still works, this may be the faster way to do it.

This is similar to completing a level on Reach without dying by just knowing where the last checkpoint is and Save & Quitting.

All it is, is Dashboard Checkpoint Abuse. When it comes to an achievement like that, I’d much rather get it legit.

Very Very cool and useful, but hey its not THAT tough and your beating your xbox’s butt by going back and forth plus whats the fun in it if you dont do it legit ??

I’m not saying you have to do it. Just another option for people who are having trouble.

My friend and I just went through and killed everything. I got it, but he didn’t because I kind of accidentally threw a grenade and killed him at the last door before the index. :frowning:
